People who love Grayson Hawthorne but hate Savannah Grayson are being hypocritical, plain and simple. They’re mirrors of each other cold on the surface, fiercely protective , deeply shaped by trauma and betrayal,don’t let people in,had to always be perfect because every mistake had a cost ,But because Savannah’s a girl, the same traits that make Grayson “noble” or “tragic” suddenly make her cold, manipulative, or cruel. That double standard is exactly the point. Jennifer Lynn Barnes didn’t write Savannah to be liked,she wrote her to show what it looks like when a woman carries the same weight and expectations as someone like Grayson. Savannah’s not heartless. She’s a girl who was raised by a murder, selfish father and came out of that with every reason to build walls. And honestly, she had every right to be suspicious of Avery. Eve lied to her and caught her at one of the most vulnerable points in her life ,right when everything she knew was crumbling. Eve manipulated her. Savannah was already in a raw, fragile place, and Eve knew exactly how to exploit that.
And again — Savannah doesn’t owe Avery anything. She’s not part of the Avery-Hawthorne dynamic. She’s a girl who walked into chaos and saw someone (Avery) at the center of it. Why should she not be suspicious? Why should she immediately trust a stranger who’s tangled up with her father’s death and her pain?
Savannah has learned to live with the fact that people will always talk. That they’ll call her cold. Arrogant. Too much. Criticize her constantly I also remember girls telling Grayson they’re shocked how Duncan (I believe that was his name anyways he’s an asshole)still didn’t get frostbite from her . She’s built a life where words are just words, because she can’t let every bitter opinion break her.
Also Savannah LOVES Gigi let’s not be ridiculous “she didn’t run to Gigi after she fe-“Rohan said it was like Savanah’s world STOPPED when Gigi got hurt ????and hating her because she didn’t trust Grayson in tbh is odd because Grayson is also cautious of threats especially when it comes to his family??her and Grayson are complicated but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t care.
