When I'm not at Disney, I feel like I'm missing out on so much... Major FOMO today.
Have courage and be kind.
50 years of greatness - April 4th, 1965
50 never looked so damn good…I can’t believe it! Forever the most sexy and perfect human being.
I just love happy endings.
I’m just gonna leave this cute right here...
Vintage Disney
I love this beautiful movie. Sleeping Beauty (1959).
I just love happy endings.
Classic Disney VHS tapes :)
This is so incredibly romantic...
Princesses on parade!
I love Disney villains!
Nothing quite like EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival!
Park Parties!
Let’s talk about something fun: Magic Kingdom Halloween and Christmas events! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party are so much fun and a must do your CP bucket list!
Once the summer ends around the middle of September, Magic Kingdom is transformed into a spooky wonderland and it lasts a LONG time. The Halloween season seems to go on forever, especially if you work in the Magic Kingdom. The parties are special ticketed events for which you must buy a separate park admission (but cast members get discounts!); the parties last from about 7 pm-12 am.
There are so many fun things to do at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party!
First of all, everyone dresses up in fun Disney and non-Disney costumes, or they wear the special party shirt sold at The Emporium. Just seeing everyone’s awesome (and not so awesome) costumes is super fun.
Select gift shops and attractions hand out candy so guests can actually trick-or-treat!
The park is lit in orange, green, and purple lighting and spooky (family friendly) Halloween music throughout the different lands.
The Boo To You Halloween parade is amazing and full of spooks and treats! A great range of characters and floats! Possibly the best part of the party.
The Disney villains (Captain Hook, Cruella De Vil, Judge Claude Frollo, Maleficent, Doctor Facilier, The Evil Queen, and The Queen of Hearts) host a small show on the castle stage.
Apparently, the Viking songstress sits outside of The Haunted Mansion interacting and heckling guests...I have yet to see it, but it sounds pretty cool!
Lots of rare characters come out to play! Like Dopey and the Dwarfs, Flynn Rider, Buzz and Woody together, the villains, Tarzan, Captain Jack Sparrow, the Incredibles and Frozone, and sometimes Scrooge McDuck!
The Halloween fireworks are incredible! The best spot to watch them is not in front of the castle, but in Fantasyland where they go off all around your head.
The Halloween parties go from about the end of September to the first of November.
Now, I actually prefer the Christmas party to the Halloween party. I just love the decorations, music, and feeling of Christmas time. Around the first of November, the Magic Kingdom is transformed into a winter wonderland (cheesy, I know). I love the Christmas trees, cast member costumes, and park decorations! Here are some fun activities at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party:
Once Upon A Christmas Time Parade: MY FAVORITE OF THE WHOLE YEAR!
Select stores offer free hot chocolate and cookies
That same list of characters (minus the villains) come out to play!
The Christmas fireworks show is absolutely incredible. You cannot miss it.
It SNOAPS on Main Street, USA. ‘Snoap’= soap bubbles that looks like snow coming from the buildings at the front of the park. It is so cool!
These parties are so much fun so make sure you get your tickets and take a night off and enjoy them! I am already planning my Halloween costume :)
I saw ‘Disney in Concert’ with the Memphis, TN Symphony Orchestra and it was beyond magical. I cried during the tribute to Beauty and the Beast and I was pleasantly surprised that they snuck in the score from Pirates of the Caribbean and played some Hunchback of Notre Dame! So glad I went...Disney music warms my heart and sharing it with friends was such a thrill :)
