Iāve been re-watching Fringe and I totally forgot that Leonard Nimoy is in this show I freaking love this show
the paladins' reactions to being attracted to someone are soo funny and somehow they get worse with each book. stephen is like "i feel bad because it feels like i'm abandoning my duty", then you have istvhan who's like "i feel bad because 1) she's a nun and 2) i stabbed her", galen brings it up a notch with "i feel bad because i'm a murderous bastard and i hurt everyone i touch" and then shane is like "what a shame i didn't bring a HAIRSHIRT to BEAT MYSELF with"
god i love them
Iāve decided after reading @tkingfisherās Hemlock & Silver that what I love about her novels (besides the well developed world building, the compelling plots, characters who feel real and flawed, and romances that make me beam even when theyāre subplots) is that I can always feel the passion for whatever thing that originally drew her attention and made her go āOh this would make a great book!ā. Swords, perfumes, paladins, bugs, poisonsā her curiosity is so captivating.
If I had a nickel for every time the short story The Lady, or the Tiger? was referenced in a thematically relevant manner in one of my favorite books Iād have two nickels which isnāt a lot but itās weird that happened twice
Just finished watching the Haunting of Bly Manor you people make me sick Iām Sobbing
I feel like Iām mildly harassing librarians when I finish a book at 1am, put the next book on hold immediately, and then go the next morning to pick up the book before I get the notification that the hold is ready because I know they have the book and itās just sitting on the shelf and I canāt wait.
Can some librarians weigh in is this causing you problems Iām sorry ļæ¼
And while weāre on the subject T. Kingfisher has got no business making me as emotional as I am about those silly little romance books about paladins. I bawled reading Paladinās Faith like a crazy person. I donāt know what kind of sorcery is in these books but I canāt wait for the next one
Just reread Swordheart again and T. Kingfisher I would die for you this has been a psa
Had my mom read Swordheartā she also loved it. My plan to make everyone I know read @tkingfisherās books is working slowly but surely.

THRILLING NEWS: THEY REVEALED ORBIT UKāS COVERS FOR @tkingfisherās THE SAINT OF STEEL SERIES AND THEYāRE STUNNING.
Theyāre also apparently not available in the USA, catch me crying for the next 2-3 business months itās fine, Iām fine.
lost in the moss
OK so I don't usually bring personal stuff to this blog but I am being hunted for sport by my book club for the way I read my books and I just want to check how badly I have misjudged what is "normal" in this situation lol
When I put down the book I'm reading...
I use a designated bookmark to mark my place
I use whatever is to hand to mark my place (receipt, scrap paper, cat etc)
I put my book face down, open on the page I'm at
I dog-ear the page I'm on
I don't mark my place and just find where I was the next time I pick it up
So far I have been called "unhinged", "profoundly disturbed" and a number of variations thereupon for my habit of just... closing the book. Which I guess isn't what everyone else is doing. Apparently.
Also please, if you have very strong feelings about this, yell to your heart's content - I can direct you to an entire book club of people who will yell right along with you š
do me a solid and just reblog this saying what time it is where you are and what youāre thinking about in the tags.
Iām a pretty firm believer that if no oneās getting hurt and youāre having fun then whatever youāre doing youāre doing it right
but I gotta say if youāre not writing a 36k+ fanfic for a d&d character that only 5 other people on the entire planet have context for? I dunno maybe you are doing it wrong weāre having a blast over here
Hi Alen! I had an acquaintance of mine on Twitter ask where one of your Spirk pieces was -- the one with Jim is kissing Spock's back. I searched your socials and couldn't find it (btw, you're an incredible artist, I had to stop and admire your Merther pieces). If you could show me where I can find it I would be thankful. But if you have already been asked about this, or intentionally deleted it and do not want to be asked about it, I completely understand and you reserve the right to your privacy. Have an amazing day! <3
Found it if this is the one!! It's probably went online untagged, so it's all good
And thank you for the incredibly kind words š¤š¤š
Jaskier

Geralt
Cirilla
Iām so proud of these four art pieces. I worked so hard on them and I had so much fun
Iām also on Inprnt where you can buy any of these art pieces if you want
Jaskier: Are you done? You know, they wonāt pay me if i never show show up and play for them. Geralt: *sniff* no. Jaskier: OKAY :D
I love the thought that Geralt is the clingier one once they are in a relationship
Like sure Jaskier still very much enjoys Geralts company and he has the need to constantly be touching the other in one way or another but control himself wel enough to you know, let go of Geralt from time to time.
Geralt on the other hand, a complete mess.
itās just been so long since he allowed himself this kind of closure and he is starved for it. If it was all up to Geralt then Jaskier would probably constantly be sitting in his lap and Geralts arms would constantly be around the other and he would be surrounded by Jaskier all the time. Sadly itās not all up to Geralt so heāll settle for touching the bard whenever he can, and heāll settle for sharing endless nights together, and heāll settle for having Jaskier around as long as Jaskier wants him there. This time itās Geralt that follows Jaskier to the end of the world.

Damn son we sure do.
Love the idea of - before theyāre āofficialā - Geralt always having the urge to cling to Jaskier, but aggressively resisting it.
Fingers twitching up towards him, so clenches his hand into a fist so tight his knuckles creak.
Leaning slightly into his space, and then going so ramrod straight that Jaskier is a little worried he locked his knees and is going to fall over. (Heās a stage performer, heās seen it before.)
Waking up to realize heād cuddled up to Jaskier while he slept and tearing himself away while Jaskier complains at being woken so rudely. Setting up his bed roll on the far side of the camp the next night.
And then when, eventually, they actually become partners, Jaskier realizes that Geralt is the clingiest fucker heās ever met. Curling around him at every opportunity, getting a pleased little flush doing something as simple as holding his hand, scenting him constantly⦠He sleeps like a damn octopus when he letās himself too.
