Madeline spotted her friend at the Central Park and waved at them. "Hey, I got us some iced coffee, just how you want it. There you go." She sat down on the bench next to them and gave them the coffee. "Now that we have something to quench our thirst, spill. What exactly happened? You sounded so panicked on the phone. Tell me everything." @ggstarterblog
"Thanks Madie." Emmeline smiles and takes the drink from her. "How are you? I don't even know the last time I saw you."
"You do not need to apologize at all, I very much understand how hectic life gets." He looked at her. "And no, you are not paying, I will pay for both of us."
"Thank you, Garrick." She smiles a thim. "Though, your girlfriend won't get mad, will she?"
"Can we really blame Gossip Girl? I mean she's only as good as the shit people do. If people are being boring, then Gossip Girl has nothing to really report on."
"Okay that is very true." She smiles and looks at Cressida. "Are you at least having fun though? Like in general?"
"You're welcome, Emmeline, and you don't have to explain to me, life is hectic for all of us." She said with a shrug. "How are you doing?"
"I'm doing great." She smiles at Blair. "How about you? How are things with Chuck going?"
Brittany sighed. "I do, but I can't." She admitted and looked at Emmeline. "I wish I could, but...if I do..." She trailed off and shook her head. "I am trying to work things out with Imogen though."
"Well, you can always try to talk to her. I mean, not just through text." She suggests. "You know Imogen is stubborn as shit, Britt."
"As nice of an offer as that is, I cannot let you pay for me." Rhys told her. "It's not how I was raised, but I do appreciate the offer. There is also no need to apologize, life gets hectic and busy, and it happens to all of us."
"Well thank you, Rhysand." She smiles at him. "Are you and your friends liking it here?"
"Well thank you for inviting me out. I've been feeling so stuck in my own head lately, that I'm glad you offered to take me out." She smiled at Emmeline.
"Aww Bryce, I'm sorry to hear that." Emmeline says to her. "I like hanging out with you, so I'm glad you agreed."
"You don't have to pay for me, but thank you, Emmeline." He said with a smile. "How are you doing?" He asked. "I feel like there's so much going on with you."
"I'm doing great." Emmeline smiles at him. "There's nothing going on with me, Elijah, I am so boring."
"i appreciate the offer of you paying, but i can't let you do that. i can pay, or we can split the check, but you won't pay for my half at least." he chuckled. "and, you don't have to apologize, i understand how crazy life gets."
"Well, thank you." She smiles at him. "How are you liking it here, Hunt?"
"well thank you for inviting me out. i needed this, and you don't need to explain to me, life has been hectic for me too."
"You're very welcome." Emmeline smiles at her. "How are you liking it here?" She asks.
"You're welcome and you are not paying for anything, you never have to pay when you're with me, you know this." He said. "Tell me, what's new with you though?"
Emmeline smiles at her older brother. "Thanks, Ry." She says to him. "Nothing, I feel like I'm in a fucking rut if I'm being honest."
"Thank you for inviting me Em." She smiled at her friend. "You also don't have to apologize, because my life has been hectic too." She laughed. "Thank you, I seriously appreciate that."
"Of course Adrianna." Emmeline smiles at her. "I'm glad you understand where I'm coming from. Life can be hectice as fuck." She laughs. "How are you though? Anything fun going on with your life?"
"Oh please, I wouldn't talk to you like that." Madeline replied, smiling at her. "Not after what you've done for me last year. After all, you're the one who told me to get away from it all." She said as she took another sip. "Tuscany was exactly what I needed, my aunt was kind enough to let me stay with them. I had the best time ever. I liked how peaceful and healing it was there."
Emmeline smiles. "If there's one thing I know, it's how to have a good vacation while recharging yourself." She tells her. "I'm glad you had a good time. Did you meet any cute Italian guys, or girls, while you were there?"
“Wait— you said what to her?” Skylar laughed shaking her head. “Sounds like it was well deserved.” She leaned back against her chair. “I have to admit. Im impressed.” @ggstarterblog
"I told her to fuck off and that she needs to accept that my brother is married to Mary." Emmeline looked at her. "She was so pissed, but she needed to hear it."
"Thank you so much for meeting up with me for lunch. Life has been beyond hectic lately, and I promise, lunch is on me, order whatever." She smiled at the person she had gone out to lunch with. @ggstarterblog
Madeline sat alone at a table, sipping her coffee after helping out at one of her family's bakeries. She'd come there when she missed the quiet life with her aunt in Tuscany and wanted to prove to her parents she'd really changed. It's exactly one year since she ran away when her scandal broke out. Faking pregnancy to keep a man. Real low, Maddie.
A group of girls at the nearby table started laughing loudly, their eyes fixed on her as they made snide comments and mocked her. She met their stares with a fake, sarcastic smile that quickly turned into a sharp glare but their words kept coming. Lowering her head, she curled her hand into a tight fist on the table, flames peeking faintly through her knuckles as anger and frustration rose inside her. Don't let it win. Breathe, Maddie, breathe.
Then she felt someone sit down across from her. "If you're here to talk smack to me, get the hell out." She raised her head to look at them and realized it was someone she knew. "Oh, it's just you. I'm sorry, I'm having a bad day. To what do I owe the pleasure?" She took a slow breath, unfurling her fist completely and letting the fire fade away. "You hungry? I could get you something, on the house." @ggstarterblog
Emmeline raised a brow at the younger woman. "You are so damn lucky you changed your tune, Vanderbilt, I don't let anyone talk to me that way, not even my brothers." She flipped her blonde hair over her shoulders and looked at her. "I came to see you, came to ask you how Tuscany was."
"Me too, but I hope it doesn't come onto streaming for a while, you know?" She asked her. "I don't mind waiting."
"I agree with that so much, and speaking of streaming, do you wanna tell me what that live stream was about that you did?" She raised a brow at her. "I thought you and Imogen were friends."
