"Oh a secret relationship? How exciting for you! Is it because he's a celebrity or something like that? Girl, ugh, okay, just tell me the deets when it's all out in the open." Madeline replied as she sipped her coffee. "But just one question, is he like really hot? You know what I miss this, just having a girl talk and things being normal. I can't wait for them to let my drama go so I can live my life and enjoy it." She said and smiled at her. "Thank you for the advice, Waverly. I'll do just that cause why would I stop my life for them? You're so right."

"I'm a dragon rider, I've fought in wars, and I nearly ripped out Violet Sorrengail's arm because she shit talked me too much, but sure, we can fight." Imogen smirked, loving how the other woman was up for a challenge. She looked at the women and then back at her and without doing anything, the sidewalk lifted up just slightly and the women at the table had all their drinks spilled on them. After that, the sidewalk went back down and Imogen took a sip of her wataer. "That was...unfourtanate for them." She laughed.

"A little sparring does not hurt, why not? I'll take you take you up on that soon." She leaned back and smiled at her. "How many more secrets is this city hiding? Feels like there's a whole lot of supernatural beings on the prowl here. And here I thought that it was only us." She added. "I'm basically a fire witch of some kind, hard to explain. I may have activated dormant powers in me that my family's ancestors have been keeping locked up and buried for I don't know how long." She said and shrugged. "Didn't ask for help but thank you, that was funny."

"A student I get. But teachers ?? No" Weren't they supposed to not show they disliked a student. He understood you can't like everyone. Sounded bad all of them "Could not have said it better myself. Or think she knows everything about everyone" He bet they knew nothing "They are, aren't they? I don't think I would ever send in anything to her. Why should I. Not sure what to think. I still don't know what to think of this city. I am glad I don't live among the rich, at least. Doesn't seem to be quiet on the streets here, not that it would bother me, I am used to college parties. It only feels more calm right now to live in a place there it isn't much of a night life"

"I guess she saw it as an opportunity to control students but honestly she's just as messy as them." Madeline said and looked at him. "That is kinda how rich high school students declare war with each other, they send tips to her about each other. And then there are people who are just obsessed with gossip." She replied and crossed her arms. "Nice to meet you, John. I think you have the guts to survive in this city." She smiled at him. "Yeah, pretty much, our world tends to be harder than it looks. It's hard to be a Vanderbilt, you're always held to sky high standards."

"Hmmm, it's done, isn't it? You're here now and not going anywhere, right?" She cocked her head to the side and looked at her friend. "I know I always joke that we're like Blair and Serena, but you leaving and going MIA was very much a Serena move and if you do it again, I will find you. You're not allowed to pull that shit anymore."

"No, I'm back for good. I might occasionally visit my aunt there but home is home." Maddie promised her, she regretted leaving and not staying in contact but she had to do it for herself. "I know you were hurt in the process and I'm sorry for that but I needed to leave. It was just too much for me. I was ashamed of what I did and something else happened. I don't know how to say it. You might think I'm crazy."

"Oh no, but thank you." She said. "Are you okay though, Madelaine?" She asked. "I just wanted to sit by someone I could actually trust and that wouldn't ask me about my relationship with Jasper?"

"Oh my God, pray tell, what are they up to now? Still bothering you and your man?" Maddie asked, concerned about her friend. "Yeah, I'm okay. I think?" She squinted and laughed. "I'm just dealing with something I can't control. It's a struggle but I think I'm tough enough to take it on. I'm curious, do you know about the crazy things happening in the city? The supernatural aspect and all."

jj smiled and nodded in agreement. "she is very much a bad ass, it is one of the many reasons i love her." he said. "ignore them, and life will be so much better, you know this right?"

"I know." Maddie admitted with a small sigh. "It's just annoying when people act like a mistake from a year ago is my entire personality. I've changed a lot since then, whether they want to acknowledge it or not." She shrugged. "At some point, that's their problem, not mine. Honestly, I know most of them use it to make fun of me because they're threatened by me for some reason."

"So you faked a pregnancy, do you know how many dumnb ass people post those fake pregnancy announcements on April Fool's Day?" He asked and shook his head. "I'm doing fantastic, and of course I'm still reckless, I wouldn't be me if I was safe."

"Good to know you're still you, wouldn't have it any other way. Honestly, I'd be worried if you weren't. That's kind of your whole thing." Maddie couldn't resist teasing her friend. "You're right, I'm not the only one who faked a pregnancy?" She rolled her eyes. "Maybe I should stop caring about everyone's opinions about me. It's been a fucking year and they still can't let it go."

"I'm not entirely sure but what I read from this old dusty grimoire was that our descendants were elemental witches." Maddie replied to her and shrugged. "There's so much I have to learn from it like our history as witches and why they had to hide the fact that we have powers and can control elements like for me, it's fire obviously. I can also detect lies, fear and people even through their warmth. Like a thermal detector. But I haven't mastered any of my powers yet. What's yours? I'm just curious about this whole supernatural thing."

"Wait.. what? High School teachers ran the Gossip blog too? That is sick. You would think adults would be smarter than that. Apparently not" He knew there were adults who could be cruel. This however was not what he expected to hear teachers would do "Yeah, heard of him by his name" Never seen the person. He still thought a gossip blog was a crazy idea "I will try not to worry if she writes about me and my best friends then, or someone else I know from back home. Yes, I am pretty new around here. Don't know much, because I have been too busy searching for classes and playing hockey"

First, it was a student which was Dan Humphrey then an actual adult slash high school teacher and now we have an obsessive stalker gossip blog who seems to know about everyone and their mother." Maddie rolled her eyes in annoyance. "Just treat her like a paparazzi but honestly everyone who sends tips are as much gossip girl as the actual person behind it. The tippers are the ones that give her power." She informed him and tucked some loose hair behind her ear. "Welcome to New York, I'm Madeline. How are you finding everything so far?"

"i didn't mean it in that way, they don't respect kiara enough, they keep flirting with me and it's fucking annoying." he looked at her. "i truly don't care who doesn't think i'm good enough for kiara, we're engaged, and if she thinks i'm good enough for her, then that's enough for me."

"I bet Kiara would scare them away so easily, she knows her worth and she's a badass." Maddie replied, she didn't know Kiara that well but she knew she was tough and wouldn't let girls like them step all over her. "Then that's it, you're both good enough for each other if you say so, don't worry about them. They're just stupid spoiled brats. And if they ever bother you again, I'll handle it. Not that you need me to handle your business but just know I have your back. You sure you're not hungry?"

Waverly raised a hand and shook her head. "It's fine, Maddie." She promised her and glanced at the people that were staring at the two of them. She flipped them off and looked back at the other woman. "You okay though?"

"Atta girl, serves them right." Maddie said and laughed after her friend flipped them off. "Yeah, I'm fine. It's just... I thought everyone would have forgotten about it already. About the whole I faked pregnancy to keep a guy. I'm so not looking forward to seeing him again." She rolled her eyes and leaned back on the chair. "But tell me, what did I miss when I was gone? How have you been? Are you seeing someone new? And seriously, you need to give me advice on how you survived all that drama and bullshit people put you through."

Madeline sighed in relief and smiled at him. "Don't worry, you can sit as long as you like. I despise them too. Can you believe that they used to be my friends? Ugh, just no. They're bullies and they're toxic." She frowned when he said that they wanted him. "Are they seriously listing adultery as an extracurricular on their college applications too? Wow, they're even worse than I thought."

"I wish I could say the same after I activated these powers of mine but it's been a real struggle to learn how to control it." Madeline admitted to the other woman. "The fire is tied to my emotions and it doesn't help that I'm literally like a raging fire when I'm mad."

Someone who has a really boring life and wish they were those people she writes about. I don't give a shit what people do in their private life, it's their life. People should respect it" Well, his best friends had been part of his private life. They all had. What happened in the house could everyone hear, or knew about. That was different "Pretend she doesn't exist? Even though what she tell isn't the entire truth? Does it not make people think different about someone if they read things about them..."

"Precisely. It's been brought back from the dead again by someone else after the high school teacher was caught running the account beforehand." Madeline filled him in, crossing her arms. "The original was Dan Humphrey though and I would choose him over the bitch we're dealing with now." She added and looked at him. "That's exactly why I said that, she's not a reliable source. People think she's a joke and the truth always comes out anyway. Let me guess, you're new in the city?"

"Well hello there to you too, Maddie." He said with a smile and sat down across from her. "What's going on with you? I mean, besides getting mad at me for no reason at all."

Madeline smiled and shook her head. "Hi, Max. I'm not mad at you. People kept coming up to me today about my pregnancy hoax scandal from one year ago. They either laugh at me or mock me and I'm getting a migraine." She complained, massaging her temple. "How have you been? Still as reckless as ever or are you turning a new leaf?"

Xaden tensed when she touched him and took several steps away from her. At her words, he couldn't help but laugh and he turned to face Belle. "I kill, just by putting my hand on the anything, I can suck the life out of this whole fucking city if I wanted to, I'm not a fae, a High Lord, a fallen Angel, whatever the fuck else, I'm Venin, I'm more deadly than any of them."

"Well, believe it or not, I know exactly how you feel." Madeline gave him a knowing look before holding up a closed fist between them. She let the silence linger for a moment, unfurled her fist and a flame bloomed to life on her hand. "My powers might be less intense than yours but it is just as destructive. It's connected to my emotions. There was one time I got really angry at someone and I almost burned the whole entire Central Park if it wasn't stopped. I'm a walking fire hazard, basically. Do you wanna talk about it?"

"It was fun when my sister posted rumors about people and so on back home, but... " John paused, shook his head "This Gossip Girl seems to be on another level. What's her deal? Does she want to destroy people's life because she thinks it's fun or what? I don't get it"

Probably an unemployed spoiled brat who's obsessed with drama and other people's lives." Madeline told him, crossing her arms. "She's a royal pain in the ass. My tip, ignorance is power so just pretend she doesn't exist."
