I’m rewatching Max’s storyline from El Cor de la Ciutat. TBH, his boyfriend Enric is such a wash, so I mostly only care about Max and Iago’s relationship. Max is cute as a button and Iago’s hair is way better than Farrah Fawcett’s.

It is a little slow going at moments, but the good definitely outweighs the bad. I liked watching Max grow up. He was so accepting of himself.

I think they’re still one of my favorite couples on from a foreign tv show. We were lucky enough to get a happy ending, which we’re so often deprived.

I wish I knew what the actors were up to now. I can’t find much.

One of my favourite funny lines from Robert is from him to Chas from way back - she serves him a drink and he says 'you forgot the straw... to suck the fun out of my day'! :)

Speaking of straws, I may be making an idiot of myself, but am I the only one who has wondered about why Chas drinks alcohol from straws (save wine and champagne)? Hear me out. For the longest time, I thought this was her preferred method of beer drinking. No shame, but unusual all the same. Then, I decided, you know what? A Long Island Ice Tea or something in that family would make a lot more sense. But where does the foam at the top come from? It’s suspiciously beer/larger like.

Yes, true; I can't dispute that. However, Laurel is an alcoholic and yet spends a fair amount of time in a bar, which again drives home the point that if you want to socialize in Emmerdale, you will spend time in a bar regardless of your history with alcohol.

I am by no means denying that Liv has a significant problem with alcohol, and I'm interested to see where they take her storyline - but consider Emmerdale’s drinking-centered culture. Hanging out and drinking is a favorite pastime for all of the residents; it's everywhere. Name for me one person in that town who doesn't day drink.

Remember how for years when you Googled something about Danny Miller and nearly all of the results on the first several pages - even a lot of the images - were about his “scandalous affair” with Isabel Hodgins? It makes me a little happy that it’s a much rarer result, but it’s sad that since February him being bullied on Twitter (again) is a thing, even if this week is about his return to the website...
