I do need to say something.

As a Christian, I do think that the judge was in the wrong. If someone does something like that, then they should be punished, Christian or not, and to the full extent of the punishment.

Keeping the full extent of the punishment from this pastor is wrong. He knows what he did, and should be punished for it. It sickens me to see this. Religion isn't an excuse to lighten up on what you deserve.

What's worse is that stuff like this puts a bad name on the Christians who are genuinely just trying to help. Some Christians are trying to do good in the world, even to the people that do some things that (to their morals) are wrong. But unfortunately, they will get caught in the crossfire of what another "Christian" said or did that was downright horrible and something that God would frown upon.

It's just sad.
