I've always hated how the camera jumps up and down when playing tall and slim buildings. Turns out, it's really easy to fix! It’ll take you less than a minute. All the details under the cut.
All it takes is opening the LiveCamera.txt file in your Documents>Cameras folder with a text editor and changing these two parameters near the bottom to a higher value. Doesn’t matter if you're using a custom camera mod or not. Those parameters should be there. I have set mine like this (remember to save a backup just in case you don't like these changes).
It might seem a bit extreme, but I still think it’s fine.
-The top parameter, floorheightsamplerange, handles how much the floors “extend out”, so the camera object can stand on it mid-air. The higher it is, the further the floor will extend. This will make it so your camera will be able to stick to the floor you’re on, even if you pan away from the building. No more annoying jumps up and down!
-The parameter below that, floorheightsampleinnerrange, handles the transition between sticking to the current floor and dropping to the ground level once it goes past the edge. The higher it is, the smoothest the fall will be.
I’ll note though that the behaviour of these parameters might not be 100% accurate with how the game actually works, but from what I tested I think it’s pretty close as an explanation. If someone knows better how this Live Camera works, please let me know and I’ll try my best to correct any inaccuracies.
Save the .txt file and check how it works in game. It might feel weird at first, but personally I find it so much smoother and easier to handle. If you’re not happy with these values, close the game and edit those parameters until you find your sweet spot. Unfortunately, you will have to close and open the game every time you change it to check how it works.
There’s so many cool Custom Camera mods out there that I thought it’s probably better to just show how to edit those 2 parameters than editing and reuploading all of them.
So yeah, that’s it. Now you can play those tall lots without getting a headache. Go ahead and send your college simmies to that hideous Sim State Tower with a hot tub on top of it. Now you’ll be able to see what’s going on up there.

Why do we have restraining orders for adult offenders but we still allow ex-bullies to contact their victims to apologize 20 years later? The childhood trauma doesn't disappear just because the bully was also a child. Apologizing to your victims is often selfish. You just want to be forgiven. The damage is done and it's likely that contacting your victim is just going to reopen a wound or make them really confused and worried because they don't remember you at all. In the latter case, being ambiguous and not naming the offense, time and setting where it happened, might make your victim speculate that you did something much worse than what actually happened. But clarifying could still be triggering. So just don't contact your victims.
My classmates used to bully me through all the primary school and half of the middle school, before I moved to another place. After finishing high school, they, through my best friend (who also was my classmate from that class, she was the only one normal person) - they tried to apologize. I remember it all. So I just said "Tell 'em to go fuck yourself."
In the new place I also got bullied, but it's mostly because I wasn't an angel myself to be honest. Doesn't mean I deserved it, or they're innocent, just... I just now starting to understand why. They've been a bit worse than my old classmates, to be honest, only because of the hormones that did apeshit to their (and my) brain. Still can remember them laughing at the parents' meeting, when the principal had to invite local district policewoman for her to try to explain to them, that writing threats is bad :/

Mozilla, in its finite wisdom, embedded LLM bots into recent versions of Firefox for the vitally-important purpose of… naming tab groups. Now, some users are noticing CPU and power usage spikes caused by a background process called Inference.
Ugh. Reminder again for Firefox users to visit your about:config page, search for the browser.ml.chat.enabled key, and set that to false:
If yours says true then double-click it until it reads false.
Doing that turns off the AI chatbot features in Firefox, but also the stupid new LLM tab-naming feature that's rolling out.
if you want to turn off as much ai crap in firefox as possible, from this post on mozilla's connect forum, you should also set all these to false using about:config:

Remember my 4T2 kitchen sets, that some sets didn't have islands? I said I will do them "soon" and nearly a year later there is still no update (minus a few new sets / island addons with new packs etc)... yeah that set!
Well now I have done it! Every set now has its islands! Finally! Recolours are arranged in the same order as their counter counterparts!
Things to note;
I did update some existing cabinets and counters,
redid some meshes on some items,
rearranged texture orders on some others,
adjusted other bits,
photos on the download page,
Sims 4 Shadow file needed, only need one in your game!
So I recommend throwing out my old counters and popping these ones instead!
