This video shows students engaging in a workshop detailing the Duolingo English Test.
This is a highly sought-after workshop, particularly in Gaza, as many students aim to apply for scholarships in European countries to pursue their education in an inspiring and safe environment.
Today, for the second time, we are raising funds to host another free workshop for the many students awaiting the second part of the series. Sponsoring one studentās attendance costs $10;
your contribution will enable a student from Gaza to attend a free workshop led by specialists, where they will learn the details of the Duolingo English Test.

July 24, 2026 - Anti-imperialist Venezuelan workers took to the streets this week in protest against the government's renewed ties with Israel, which the people condemned as a betrayal of the revolution and the Palestinian people, as well as the continued US occupation of Venezuela.
Since the kidnapping of President Maduro the Venezuelan state has expressed complete subordination to US interests, reopening access to the country's oil for American capitalists, and allowing the IDF to enter the country under the pretext of humanitarian aid. The US is estimated to have already extracted $15bn from Venezuela since the kidnapping of Maduro earlier this year. [video]

I never really wanted to get into this on here but I want to talk about it now so nobody can stop me.
honestly one of the worst things is that I knew. a lot of people talk about not knowing they were trans until xyz event where they realized and went through whatever hardships and then transitioned. people talk about repression and discovery and all these things. and those are all powerful and important experiences I don't see myself as above them in any way. but I knew.
I was never an egg, I was never in denial. when I was 3 years old I dreamed I was a princess. I know this because my family retells it as a funny story. I tried to wear my sister's clothes regularly, I asked people why there wasn't a word for the reverse of a tomboy, I put on makeup, I used she/her pronouns online since I first learned to read and write.
I don't bring this up to do this "I've always been a woman deep down, so you should listen to me as super valid Mr psychologist gatekeeper". my point is that it didn't matter.
I knew, and it didn't matter. it wasn't an issue of having to figure out who I was and then realizing that. it's that who I am was intentionally killed and locked away at every turn. it's not that I didn't realize I was a girl, it's that I wasn't allowed to be one. I was hurt and punished and sent to conversion therapy repeatedly. I can't "go back in time and tell my younger self to save her years of struggle". it wouldn't matter. it wouldn't change anything at all. the issue wasn't a lack of information. it's a lack of power. kids and trans kids especially are subject to so much abuse and we have no power to do anything about it. it is such a great tragedy beyond words. knowing what you want to do and wear and say and be, that you want this name and these pronouns and that cute dress, and being powerless to do anything about it anyway. forced to wear clothes picked out for you by a guardian, only able to use pre-approved nicknames online. only allowed to engage in these specific hobbies and have these specific friends. all of whom treat you like garbage. but it doesn't matter. it doesn't even matter if you know it's unjust, there's no way to do anything about it. it is perhaps the most powerless position anyone can be in. there is no level of knowledge or personal strength that will get you out of it. you just have to shut off until enough time passes for the law to deem you as worthy of being a person.
I think that's a big part of why I'm like this now, once you see that powerlessness, when you experience the depths of hopelessness and disenfranchisement, you can never unsee it. it does something to you
it's easier to think that I did something wrong. that if I were smarter or stronger or cleverer I could've figured it out. and that when I did get out of that place, that it was due to my strength. but the reality is it wasn't. none of it was my fault, and that's almost harder to handle. there's no amount of trial or belief or hope or self knowledge that can magically warp the world to be kind to you. when I got away it's because I was a legal adult. that's it, that's all that changed. the only thing holding me back that entire time

š¤ØThose Grazia olive oil cannot be that good at that ridiculous price.
For less than that you can support Palestinian olive cooperatives and it always comes in nicer glass bottles too..don't piss me off š
https://www.alardproducts.com/
The bottles are SO PRETTY, TOO
this is the olive oil I use! it's so good. I buy the 3 liter cans now, and refill the pretty bottle when needed.
If youre in the Netherlands you can buy it here to support Palestinian farmers: https://fairtradepalestine.org/product-categorie/palestijnse-olijfolie/
also if anyone has some cool idea of what to do with these awesome looking oil cans, i'd love to hear it cause i've got a bunch of em:
I know people who use it as a planter thing. Just cut it in half, drill holes and add soils to plant any herbs or microveggies you like but that tin is too nice. So Idk.

Hey so itās come to my attention that this account is stealing my posts from like 2 years ago? Super odd behavior. Why are you trying to engagement farm on tumblr?
Not everyone can easily come up with ideas for things to post every day
then just don't??
you obviously dont have 100+ followers and need to keep them happy
i didnt realize the situation you were in and i apologize for the callout
can youguys do me a favor and send a lot of hate mail to this user
once you notice half of all memes are just a picture of a black person with unrelated text over them you really cannot unsee it
this is actually horrific right? we can all agree about that?
I'd never thought I needed to be paranoid about the fact that photos I share on social media might be turned into memes in a discord run by JuicyBigNut but that's what existing in a public space as a black person is like! not to mention the fact that they don't even know who the man in the picture, yet we know who first spread it and no one has beaten that guy to death yet
A few weeks ago, I asked for help to reach my first goal: securing admission to a Master's program.
Because of the incredible kindness of so many people, we reached that goal. ā¤ļø
Today, I can proudly say that I have received my university admission.
Now I am facing the next challenge.
To officially move forward with this journey, I need to pay the remaining registration fees. The total cost is $1,200; I have already contributed $600 from my salary and personal savings and raised $150 through donations, so I now need another $450. Because I believe in this dream and am doing my utmost to realize it, I plan to work hard this month to earn an additional $300āwhich means the remaining amount needed to reach my goal would be just $150!
Every contribution, no matter the size, helps me move one step closer to beginning my Master's degree.
If you are unable to donate, sharing my fundraiser would mean just as much.
Thank you for believing in my education, my future, and the impact I hope to create through it. ā¤ļø

They lied to you.
They said the suffering was over.
But for me⦠it hasn't ended.
They said life had returned to normal.
Yet, I am still searching for a chance to continue my education.
They said those who survived the war had started new lives.
But we are still trying to reclaim our most basic rights.
The war didn't just steal our homes⦠It stole years of education, work, stability, and dreams.
Today, after everything I have been through, I have been accepted into a masterās program. Securing this admission was my primary goal, andāthanks to God and the support of those who believed in meāI managed to achieve it.
But my journey doesn't end here.
I am still trying to secure the registration fees so I don't lose this admission and the opportunity I have waited so long for.
I continue to work as hard as I can, and I have already contributed a significant portion of the cost from my own savings, but I still need help to complete this journey.
I need just $50 more to reach over half of the announced goalāI would be the happiest person in the world if I got it today!
Two days have passed, and I still haven't achieved that short-term goal which might bring me closer to my dream.
Tomorrow is my last chance to secure $55 to complete half of the required target; I plan to put it toward the initial university tuition payment.
