I have a special love for regex because my first bug bounty was the result of it. Some poor dev didn't realize that "[A-z]" includes backslashes, and I was able to get path traversal and command injection from that. Made me $500, which was a big deal for a broke student lol
Yeah what the fuck is with that decision??? Astonishingly bad standard for people to have set. Intuitively that should just be uppercase plus lowercase
thank god we decided to not use EBCDIC omg. that one would not work, but [a-Z] would also match all of these: +~^[]{}\ as well as a lot of undefined characters
someone help meee
There are 30 cars in my building’s parking lot. All of the cars are red or white, and a car can have either 2 doors or 4 doors. 1/3 of them are red. 50% of them are 4-door, and 8 of them are 2-door and white. How many of the cars are 4-door and red?
okay so.
50% of the cars are 4-door, and that means the other 50% are 2-door. 50% of 30 is 15, and since we know 8 cars are 2-door and white, that means 7 cars are 2-door and red.
⅓ of the cars are red. ⅓ of 30 is 10. from there the amount of 4-door red cars is 10-7=3
How is proto-indo-european so vulgar that dictionaries have to censor the first part of every single word? Did pie speakers really swear that much?

if sitelen pona is ever added to unicode (could happen!) then toki pona text would be stored with four bytes per word. the median length for toki pona words is four letters, so this would be a similar level of efficiency as writing toki pona in the latin alphabet (in ascii or utf-8).
however, toki pona only has 137 “canon” words. theoretically, you could use just One byte per word, with plenty room to spare for encoding other important things. sitelen pona doesn't do this, but if you wanted to also include a syllabary with all 92 toki pona syllables, that's still only 229 characters, with 27 eight bit codepoints left over for punctuation, control characters, and extra words.
so then, clearly what needs to happen is. there needs to be a standard eight bit toki pona encoding scheme, one that would be far more efficient than unicode could be. so then if That becomes popular, the Consortium will have no choice but to update unicode to support it
