I dunno if the songs are meant to be positive ones. I was a millennial emo, so my view of positive is a little twisted.
So there are some random favourites, rather than regular listens or best songs EVER.

1. This band was previously know as 'The Dairy Brothers' and before that, a comedy outfit called 'Average' I think. I wanted to represent something local, that had Tenacious D vibes that needs more air play.
2. For some nostalgia of my first ever mix CD burned onto a green slimline jewel case Imation CDR, 20 tracks that were all MP3s from Morpheus (a Limewire precursor).
3. Following the piracy theme. Radio had much more underground stuff, pre-curated and easier to locate than online MP3s. So I got a digital radio tuner and sat there recording and editing on the regular as a hobby as a teenager. This was one of those that I bought a digital version of later.
4. I got into Watsky from watching Epic Rap Battles of History on YouTube. It strikes so many chords with me.
5. I always thought this was The Pet Shop Boys when I heard it on the radio and got it on a mix CD. Turns out it is an 80s Aussie Band. Will forever love this song.

I went to see Charlie Burg in concert last year on a whim with a friend and now I'm so obsessed but this one is my favorite I think.
I actually wrote a bit about how much this song means to my life when I was doing undergrad applictions, and I just saw her in concert earlier this week and I was lowkey sad she didn't sing this song but everything she did sing was a religious experience and I am a better person now lol.
I saw this song in concert over a year before it came out and I video'd a clip that I nearly tried to use to get them to share it sooner but my friend convinced me that was evil of me.

it's very funny to me that the advice in the notes divides cleanly into two camps:
Actually actionable advice (break it down into smaller pieces, leave and come back later, find somebody to do it with you so you aren't doing it alone)
People who are Jared, 19 and just say something that's fundamentally a variation on "just do it scared"
Warning: advice that "you have to leave your comfort zone to grow" is meant for people who are IN their comfort zone the majority of the time. If you rarely/never feel comfortable and safe, you actually need to get more comfortable and safe before you can grow 👍
