Art might be extra slow for a bit

I’ve had a ton of thoughts in my head lately. Thoughts regarding to what I’ve been doing these last few years and what I want to do in the future; Both for my art stuff, and my life in general. To give you all the shortest version I can, these last few years I’ve basically been juggling the types of art I do. What I mean is that I’ve done art for this tumblr account, art for my friends, occasional writing, and 3D modeling Blender. It’s been really good, but these last few days I’ve realized that I need to cut down on that juggling in order to make more room for more important things in my personal life. In other words, I need to pick a lane for what I want to do with my art to make some room. For ages I’ve wanted to do some cool things with 3D modeling, and latley I’ve felt like I’ve hit the peak of my 2d art. Not saying there’s no room left to improve, or this art style won’t change overtime, but atp I’m VERY satisfied with how my 2d art has been these last few months, and I want to start focusing on something I can improve more on. So I want to try and focus learning how to make cool things in Blender. That’s always felt like the logical next step for me.

Now I’m not going to stop 2D art forever. I’m DEFINITELY going to do more of the things I’ve already done on this account, but it might take much longer than usual for me to post those things. One thing I wanted to highlight here is Murder Drones A-Z, a fun project idea where I draw my interpretation of every alphabetical serial designation for the MDs in Murder Drones. It’s a really cool idea, but now that I’ve realized I got to manage my time better for more important things, I sorta regret announcing it. Now, I’m going to TRY to NOT cancel it, mainly because I’d be embarrassed if I cancelled something I’ve done only two parts for. I will try to continue it, but it will be FAAAAAAAAR from my top priority. So it’s probably going to take a long time for me to add more entries to that.

What I do hope to focus on is making 3D animations with models that I’ve made and post them online one day. I wanna get my art further out there than just Tumbler, but I will still come by every now and then to post some things. I’m not sure if I’d call this a hiatus, but I definitely am slowing things down here to focus on other things.

Hope you all understand. Thank you very much for your support. I’m happy I get to make things that brighten up your days, if just for a little bit.

Wanted to have some fun trying to giving one of my Murder Drones Ocs an overhaul, and ended up having too much fun.

Is this design overly Oc-ey? Yes. Do I like the result? Also Yes.

I’d make this part of that Murder Drones A-Z project I dropped a while ago, but I feel like he wouldn’t really fit in (He’s meant to be CD: C, but I could never come up with a design that fits MD that I like.)

I know Karen can use any weapons , but only if its for defense hence her shotgun is just purrfect, not to mention its the opposite to what her younger self which is a katana, and katanas is mostly used for offense- do u get meeeee??? Jingle jingle jangle give me your attention.

SAIKO I like her name its exactly pronounced as the word "psycho" its so creative props to whoever made her name, above all this gurl uses a big ass mallet- u think shes actually canonically buff???

Tari tari tari shes so genuinely kind and sweet you'll get diabetes, yeh I think thats her powers Its not her meta arm, its fcking diabetes, telepathic lol. Oh and Karen is just SUS about her meta arm-

The doodles on the background on each character represents their love ones (either current or diseased) i forgot about Tari, but due to her giving type 2 diabetes with her kind and sweet soul imma just draw the 4 characters to balance it out, that or I was just lazy lmao.

Kudos to Luke and the writers within the smg4 series; y'all did a great job making these BADDIESSSS. ✨️✨️✨️

Looking up murder drone references on Pinterest is such a pain, because you can find some PERFECT references on there…

EXCEPT they’re all from Glitch inn, and I’d feel guilty if I used what’s basically pirated images for my art. It’s frustrating lol.

In all seriousness, yup, spent the last week or so making a Meggy model from scratch in blender. Has a full face rig and everything! Also wanted to try out cell shading with this, and I think it turned out decent. As I make more evnviormental props hopefully I’ll be able to put her in some good environments in the future.

This model came out way better than I was expecting, and I’m hoping that the next character model I make will be be something more original, and not just another SMG4 character, even though I do have plans for at least one more.

Remember that I do Blender stuff? I do.

For context I used to draw these spooky monsters in my sketchbook a long time ago called Hell Spawn (real original I know) so I decided to 3d model one of them. Didn’t come out as scary as I hoped but still happy with the results.

A while ago I said I was gonna do some more 3D stuff in blender. I’ve made plenty of models so far, but nothing that really fits this account. Luckily I remembered that a while ago I made some low poly models of Worker Drones from Murder Drones, so now I have some plans involving those. Heres a few renders to shows at them.
