Nah, it’s surprisingly stand alone. I mean, there’s definitely some nods to the original trilogy but you’re not missing anything if you don’t catch them. They set it up pretty well for people who are new to the franchise. We could always see something else though, if you’d prefer it.

The weather forecast says that it’s a straight snow storm from now until the end of the week.
That means that yours truly is about to saving herself from just dreaming about a white Christmas because here it comes. I volunteered to hold down the fort at Sweet Treats for the Eve and then the first part of the day, so feel free to stop by until four o’ clock on Thursday and two on Friday. After that this Kitty-Kat is going to be busy frolicking around and being every form of basic because what else do I have to do?
Still gonna make that Snowtrooper with me, right?

No, no, Evans. If you want to judge me for not caring, you have to justify why you do care. I’ll accept any response other than it’s what a human is expected to do.
I’m not really the judgmental type. If I were I don’t think Blaine would be my best friend cause he’s done some judge-worthy stuff. But, uh, I care because he was my coach and even though he wasn’t the greatest dude, like, morally or whatever, he never did wrong by me personally, so yeah. Just because I care doesn’t mean everyone has to. I get that.
No, my dads gave me a cake and my present was my car that I got over the summer, so it’s a quiet birthday this year. Which is for the best - I don’t know if anyone is up for excitement these days.
What reasons are those?

Five words. Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I’ve seen it three times already at this point. You wanna go see it with me sometime? I’m running out of people who will go and I don’t think I’ve reached the point in my life yet where I’m cool with going to the movies alone.
