Hogwarts was built in the Middle Ages, which means that at that time people/muggles were burning people cause they thought they are witches. So it was only fair for Salazar Slytherin to say that no muggle should be taught magic (at that very moment, they could’ve changed the rule as times changed), cause imagine going up to the child’s muggle parents and saying ‘your kid is a witch/wizard and we have a special school for them.’ Like first of all they would freak out and the kid probably would have the same fate as the other ‘witches’. He just didn’t want to get the wizarding community in danger.

I’m just stating the facts.

hopping back on the "the colt should have been the weapon used to try to kill jack in s15" train

it just would have held so much more meaning, given the colt's history on the show.

the weapon sam and dean tried to kill the devil with, being used against the devil's son. the final nail in the coffin as the narrative fully damns jack as a ''monster'' that is just like his father after he lived his whole life of three years trying to prove this narrative wrong.

and then there's the gun being used against kelly, too. except jack doesn't get mercy as he stares down the barrel of that gun. jack wants to believe his mother that he's good, he wants to honor her life and be just as good and amazing a person as she was. but he looks down the barrel of that gun, and unlike what happened when kelly was faced with the colt, jack isn't seen as innocent. he's not a good enough person for his life to be spared; he fails the test that she passed. he's nothing like her. he'll always be more like the father he's spent almost his whole life denying.
