a soft exhale escapes him as fingers brush stray strands of hair from the other’s face , tucking disheveled locks just far enough aside to properly behold their features. and there it is : the mark marring skin , still fresh with blood.

mouth draws almost instantly into a faint frown , displeasure settling unto his features as thumb hovers near the injury without touching it. something twists unpleasantly within his chest. ❝ had i arrived sooner ... ❞

a dim light gathers slowly at his fingertips then. gentle in appearance , though touched unmistakably by darkness. blackened radiance coils softly between his hands , unnatural and beautiful at the same time. he raises his hand , thereafter , toward the wounded flesh , mending what injuries the other obtained from battles prior.  ❝  i do not particularly enjoy seeing you injured , vahn.  ❞ / @soulvor !

tiny soles traverse through dirt , then track debris into their small abode. the chid’s eyes find another. the more he looks around , the more he leaves footprints behind. he’s holding something in his hands , insects aplenty , those that peak his interest. ❝ look ! ❞
