Okay, get up. You’re in my seat.
It baffles and infuriates me that Hogwarts students don’t take Latin or Greek. Accio? Literally “I summon.” Lumos? Fucking “light.” Expelliarmus? Expel weapon!! Ooooh I wonder what Levicorpus does– you Dumb Ass Bastard. You ILLITERATE. It’s called Levicorpus, it lifts someone’s body, it LEVIES your goddamn CORPUS-

More Tangled conversations with my daughter:
Showed her the pic of Eugene & Raps in their S2 travel clothes, and she asked why Rapunzel needed a new outfit for adventuring when she could ride a horse and walk in the woods in her regular dress.
Daughter’s wish list for season 2:
* Rapunzel gets her short haircut back because my daughter likes it better.
* Varian’s dad gets freed from the amber so he can be good again.
She was quite delighted when I reminded her that the wedding short takes place after the series and Raps hair was short again. :-)
My daughter and I were listening to the Tangled series soundtrack, and she piped up with, “It’s not fair to keep Rapunzel locked up in the castle. She spent so long trapped in the tower. She deserves to go where she wants alone, not with guards squishing her.”
I was like, right on, girl. I guess she’ll get her wish in season 2. :-)
Oh wow, this is… Wonderful ❤

Oh man, guys, I really like this book I’ve written.
I had to reread that because I have never seen a writer say that ever and as a writer I envy you.
WHAT
There are so many comments on this post to this effect.
Dude! writers, artists, do what you need to do to gain objectivity and feel satisfaction for what you’ve done!
Art as pain and pain as art and the Eternal Dissatisfaction of the Poignant Creator™ is so 19th century.
Creating the art you wish you could see in the world but don’t, and then being fucking PSYCHED when you’ve done it™ is very 2018.
My love for this post tripled when I noticed who the op is.

It upsets me that his first instinct, even in literal combat scenarios, is to not fight, and how violently everyone reacts to him.
In light of this post crossing 10k notes and on the suggestion of one the rebloggers,
Also,
He learned. He was banished because he went looking for a fight for a fight’s sake. He didn’t know the cost then. Didn’t understand it. Now he does. And it’s not a price he wants to pay.
“But in the end, stories are about one person saying to another: This is the way it feels to me. Can you understand what I’m saying? Does it feel this way to you?”

THAT’S MY BOY
what did it cost? everything.
OMG. *sniffles*
What’s with the newfound fear of little girls wanting to be princesses?
If your five-year-old starts saying she wants to be a princess, tell her ‘princess’ is a political position and that she has a responsibility to look out for her kingdom. Say you’ll be her royal advisor and help her improve her stuffed animal subjects’ standard of living.
See THAT’S how you empower little girls. Not by taking away something they like, but showing them how what they like can be empowering.
Right on!
forget slow burn romance, give me slow burn found family. give me enemies to friends to siblings. tired, weary old mentors learning to live again for their plucky young apprentices. heroes sharing apartments after world saving adventures because they’re so used to living with each other. dramatic “oh shit” moments where one gets kidnapped and the other realizes “god, that’s my kid.” i want to sit and watch in agony for thirty chapters while two idiots slowly adopt each other, someone get on it
Oh man... this would be amazing. I mean... I like the slow burn romance, too, but I would totally be down for this!
