Glamour Sim: Lacy Ferreira

I used to spend hours trying to perfect my Sim’s looks and their outfits, editing each detail and outfit in CAS until it used up all my time. I recently revisited these edits and just did some small modifications. I made this character with the Get Famous expansion pack in mind, the influencer route specifically and might just be the definition of Glamour Sim or sims that are just too good to be true.

These are honestly quite unrealistic proportions but it makes her look the influencer part even better. At the end of the day, this is a game and we play how we want to play and design our characters how we want to design them. 

Here’s an overview of her outfits. I skipped three because I don’t think they were all too important or striking. From left to right; Everyday, Formal, Swimming, Summer, Winter. I love her everyday, swimming, and winter wear the most.

Townie Makeover: Izzy Fabulous

For a Fashion-Guru, Izzy Fabulous has surely made a lot of questionable fashion choices in his original character design but the idea behind Izzy Fabulous is top-notch. We love representation!

I’m not quite sure if it was done on purpose but Izzy seems to have a curvature at his back. I’m thinking it might be the really gangly limbs of his body but I have tried adjusting his figure a bit to make it match his head which is unusually large compared to his body. Nina Caliente flashbacks, anybody?

Outfit-wise, I’m here to tell you that I’m all about color palettes! I just didn’t see any plausible way those red pants would work with that shade of pink so I’ve decided to just follow the overall consistent color palette for this character which is blue and pink. Seeing as he’s a trendsetter, I’m sure he’d go for the trendier pink than....that purply-pink hue.

Overall, I truly enjoyed redesigning this character. I can’t entirely attribute it to the CC cause Izzy Fabulous has such a good base. No sliders were used throughout his face except his brows so that they could at least resemble the original. That means that his bone structure was just naturally that nice. It’s been said many times but my edit of Izzy Fabulous gives Brad Mondo vibes and I.....agree. ;)

Townie Makeover: Ulrike Faust

Ulrike Faust is one of those frequently overlooked townies in the Get Together expansion pack. People talk a lot about the Fyres, the Bjergsens, and the Behrs but not quite the Free Spirits so I feel like this edit was well worth its time. I didn’t follow the character design religiously. At first look, you can already pick out that the eye colors are a different shade of green (overlooked it as I was editing if I’ll be honest) and the outfits don’t religiously follow her original color palette. When I looked through this character’s design the first thing I actually thought was how similar she was to Morgan Fyres’ so I wanted to differentiate her a little better. 

The description for her says that she’s a painter/artist so I tried to reflect that more in her outfit choices. What she was wearing before looked too...juvenile? It looked like something Morgan Fyres would wear and Morgan Fyres is a teen! I retained the purple & black, and added a little brown to make the look a little more striking. Nothing too out of the character design. I also gave her some bangs and an updo that screams artist! (I know how silly that sounds HAHA)

As usual, no sliders were added so you can simply edit Ulrike Faust’s character with the Custom Content I’ll be listing down. All in all, this has been one of the more satisfying edits I’ve had in a while. It took me almost two hours of mixing and matching to get to the Ulrike Faust I envisioned but I am quite satisfied with how she turned out.

Before She was Famous: Brytani Cho

I never really paid much attention to Brytani Cho but I always knew she had this signature look and striking features. In a way, she kind of reminds me of Akwafina with hear features and personality. I reversed her age in this edit, turning her into a young adult and making a character of her before she was the infamous four-star celebrity Brytani Cho. I actually just read about her in the Sims Wiki and saw that she had a bad reputation and to that I say, you go Brytani Cho! We already have too many perfectly good Sims as it is. 

While I usually follow color palettes, I feel like pre-famous Brytani Cho didn’t have a palette of her own. I’d attribute it to finding a self-made brand only after fame so the pre-fame Brytani I created is really just university Brytani trying to live one semester at a time.

I didn’t make her wear so much makeup the same way she didn’t in her famous future self. Just a little liner and natural looking lips. I’m just the biggest fan of her features. The copious amount of images speak for itself but can you see her!? She’s a gorgeous Sim.

Townie Makeover: Zoe Patel

Zoe Patel is a pre-made sim in the Roomies household which is actually filled with a lot of guys. I kind of consider her to be a fan favorite for makeovers because she already looks good as is in EA style which is uncommon but not a rarity. I’ve decided to try giving her a makeover to see how she could look with my own style. You could say that this is less of a “transformation” and just more of a “transition” to my style.

Of course, she transitioned quite nicely but I’ll say that this may not be the most satisfying makeover I’ve done. While I do love how she looks like in my style, I do think there are still points to improve on with maintaining her general vibe. I tried not to make her too pretty with the skins that basically contoured the living hell out of the sim’s body. While it is visually appealing, it’s quite hard to get skin tones right in those skins so I try (try being the keyword) not to use them so much in these edits.

Outfit wise....those leggings had to go. This isn’t the early 2010′s anymore, Zoe. In a way, I think the general gist of her makeover is modernizing her character design. Zoe has the character design of an adorkable 2010 sitcom protagonist but well, I guess, times have changed. Let’s make her look a little more young adult.

Here’s a boarding school/high school edit of the OG Townies where Geoffrey’s the only one following the dress code! 😂 This was a really random idea I had that from a post in Reddit. Will probably post a more in depth review cause they’re my main household right now. 😂

“Reverse” Nancy Landgraab

A quick disclaimer to please not take this post too seriously haha! This was inspired by the Reverse Bella Goth edit I did but it was just so hard to find a Reverse Nancy Landgraab. I’m sure character design somehow dictates that Nancy is supposed to be Reverse Bella but the Reverse Bella Goth I had in mind was different from Nancy. Anyway, a lot of overthinking lead me to this Reverse Nancy. I made her skin lighter to create a contrast because I just realized how tan Nancy was. 

I wasn’t the most satisfying edit but I did get this cute little collage of reverse Nancy before I deleted all her photos from my screenshots. Below is my prototype of Reverse Nancy. I guess the image of reverse Nancy was just this character that didn’t care for appearances and lived her hermit life....yeah University but of course, this was no fun design-wise so I scrapped the idea.

I guess my last and most successful attempt of “Reverse Nancy” is just genderbending her. Yep. Nancy sure has great features for a male Sim. Also, I feel like Malcolm got a lot of features from her compared to Geoffrey.

Townie Makeover: Lilith Pleasant

I am just loving Lilith Pleasant’s character design. It was such a fun experience editing her. This whole edit actually took around four stages of different looks. 

Below are the three prototypes I had of her character design. Honestly, I was almost sold on the third until I saw how the recolor pales in comparison with the original (no offense). The original hair I used simply didn’t have an orange swatch so I had to be resourceful. 

I don’t know what EA was thinking by giving Lilith this outfit. I don’t even wanna show you the entirety of it but I’ll tell you that it’s bad. Kudos on the red boots tho. They got that right. As usual, I followed her color palette from the top to bottom.

I like this hair a lot compared to the original one I used because it gave more justice to her facial shape. In the original hair I used, her face looked unnaturally elongated if you stare at her long enough.

I know I basically pretty-fied her but I do hope that I retained the essence of Lilith Pleasant. Our resident slob-klepto hybrid with a sprinkle of evil. It’s quite funny cause she seems like the complete opposite of the vampire with the same name. Ohhh, the ironies!

“Reverse Bella Goth” or Stella Roth Edit

I started playing Sims extensively only in Sims 3 when I finally had the laptop with the appropriate specs for it. While I have played Sims 1 and 2, I wasn’t so engaged with any community that played the game hence, I wasn’t aware of the extensive and wonderfully woven story lines of the past games. Imagine my surprise when I learned about Stella Roth who’s basically a parody of Bella Goth after posting a “Reverse Bella Goth” in Reddit.

I was on the fence about actually considering her as Stella Roth because the real Stella had green eyes and different traits.....but well, Stella is a parody from Sims 2. A lot can change in character design...Anyway, I spent so long making over Bella Goth that I wanted to do something fun out of it and created “Reverse Bella” who was basically an alternate Bella with her face but a different color palette/personality.

Reverse Bella is Blonde and has blue eyes. She likes the natural look and gravitates towards pink and white. She's conservative when she dresses and is a snob, materialistic, and hates children. Reverse Bella to me back then was Lily Feng and Nancy Landgraab's love child! You can read all about her lore here.

Stella Roth is just stunning! I didn’t have any expectations for this edit quite honestly. I just wanted to see Bella blonde but this whole makeover took a life of it’s own!

Her side profile (if that’s what you call it on the right photo) might be my favorite! Her features are just so striking, just like the character she was derived from!  I definitely had a lot of fun with her and devoted a lot of time and effort into this despite being weirdly accused of being “racist” for reversing a color palette. Oh, dear Sims 4 reddit, I applaud your delusions and abundance of time...if only the rest of us had a little more of that.

Townie Makeover: Lilith Vatore

I feel like the original character design was such a meh character design. While I do applaud the color palette, isn’t there any other hairstyle/makeup you could’ve given her? Midway through this edit, I realized just how beautiful her character is. I feel like through this edit, we can truly see the ethereal vampire beauty that Lilith posseses.

I gave her a makeover with her brother before and while she looked good, I don’t think it was as Lilith Vatore as it could’ve been. 

I guess you could say there is no shortage of attempts with Lilith. The one in the middle was almost going to be my main edit but it just didn’t embody the essence of the Lilith I remember.

Let’s be real though, this Lilith is badass.

Outfit-wise, I followed her yellow/black palette. I assumed the yellow was to show how friendly and outgoing she was. Honestly, Caleb could never! Lilith was and will always be the superior Vatore sibling to me (probably only to me).

Townie Makeover: Vanessa Jeong

Honestly, this isn’t my proudest edit. Vanessa Jeong is actually quite outside my comfort zone so I thought this was probably worth a try to at least challenge myself. I usually want to keep the essence of the characters in my edits but I just didn’t like the general character design for her. In all honesty, you could say I’m just not a big fan of Get Famous townies in general. I do love Dirk Dreamer and Judith Ward’s character design but...Holly Alto and Vanessa Jeong? I wish they really did better.

Outfit wise, I tried to follow her general color palette but....it just ain’t it. I'm sure I’ll revisit this edit sometime in the future so no Custom Content list for now.

The couple we neither deserved , wanted nor anticipated

So I did quick little gameplay thing before my game came crashing with the new update. It still works, it’s just unbelievably laggy! But well...I guess I won’t be doing the townie makeover break I said I would.

So this is Vlad & Nina. Such an odd couple. But, the first moment I played with them after moving Nina in, Nina was already flirty when I made one of her traits unflirty. It was meant to be, I guess. Now, of course, I know what you guys are thinking, what would their kid look like? Well, worry no more, I got you covered.

I named their kid “Anya” and I feel like she got a lot of genes from the Calientes, similar to Dina’s traits because she sure does have a striking resemblance with that Caliente sister.

She got Vlad’s cheekbones, Nina’s eyes, and an ancestor’s nose because who even has that perfect of a nose?? Okay, maybe it was Nina’s nose pre-CC makeover. I was expecting to laugh my ass off in this little prject but I guess life is ever filled with surprises. :^)

A Goth / Landgraab Family Affair

These are a couple of old edits. I’ve updated their character design since then but I think they’re still pretty neat content so I just wanted to post it here to share with you guys. :)

I love this picture a lot! In my head, Bella and Mortimer are the coolest and silliest parents ever so this was just a fitting image for that little headcanon.

Out of these two edits, I really prefer the second one’s outfits but let’s not lie, Malcolm looked good in that first photo so the first photo was eventually the one that I posted on reddit when I still hung around there.

Sims 4 “Glamour Townies”

As I take a break from new townie edits, I’ll be posting some of my original townies for the meantime. I might modify some of their features here and there (mostly color palettes) before posting so these are mostly prototypes cause I lost a lot of Custom Content when I was cleaning through my files.These are not all the townies hehe. I won’t post as frequently as the edits because I’ll be working on and posting the tray files for each character + the CC list since I can’t really post a video of a live edit now. 

Additionally, I just wanted to add that these are Sims 4 “Glamour Townies” or Sims that just seem too good to be true (let’s be honest! haha). I’ll be posting a more realistic townie set in the next one.  

You can say this is a teaser of sorts. The photo above is my initial edit but I realized it won’t fit well with the layout of my blog so I’m just putting it after the “see more”.

Oh, Sims 4 Redditors

It’s disgusting how some could just send messages like this through a throwaway account. If you wanna throw hate on me, don’t be such a coward to hide under anonymity.

The big background story here is that I posted a “Reverse Bella Goth” post with Bella’s color palette and personality reversed. I reversed her dark skin with a lighter one as I have reversed the color palette of all her other features and am now being accused as a racist.
