people need to chill out on tom nook.
heâs not a slum lord or a bloodthirsty debtor or a slave laborer.
he allows you to purchase a house with no money, lets you work off the basic payments with a half-hour of quick chores, and then leaves you to take as much time as you need to get the rest of the payments to him whenever you can with no deadline, interest, or repercussions for putting it off.
heâs basically just a cool friend who lets you borrow money and says âyeah no worries pay it back when you canâ except he also gives you a house.
what a great dude.
My auntâs cat is very shy and hides when there are guests in her house. She semi-trusts my parents and will at least be in the same room as them. Tonight, my dad made some progress:

Japanâs complete lack of understanding of declining birth rates in relation to its work culture reminds me a lot of how America has an assumption that millennials are killing industries when the truth is they are more frugal because of a lack of funds.
Both come from a conservative mindset that neglects the impact that a toxic work culture can have on society.
A 80+ hour work week in order to maintain financial stability isnât exactly a solid ground to date people and eventually build a family from a healthy relationship.
A workforce comprised of 20 somethings that make between 20-40k a year in entry positions isnât a good ground to build a reliable consumer base when a huge chunk of that is going to rent, utilities, car payments, and student loans.
This is a fascinating connection, you should write a paper on this
I am convinced that, in general, people want to have families. Many, if not most, would be happy to raise children. But in order to have children and raise them, especially to do so well, people need happy, stable relationships, financial security and time to devote to - you know - actually raising the child. You need both money and time to do that. If people are not given the time and means to be able to create social connections and strong relationships, to devote to parenthood and family, then they are not going to do it. How can they?
If anything Millennials are out there trying to prove that weâre better potential parents than our parents were, because weâre practicing safe sex, using contraception and abortion to make sure weâre not bringing a child into a life thatâs a financial mess where weâre working too many hours to even raise the kid. Prior generations complain that we were raised by TV and video games, and that may be true, but the thing is, we know that the reason we had to be raised by TV and video games is that their workaholic butts were never home to do it themselves, and weâre not going to do that to the next kids. And that may mean not having kids until conditions are right.

getting bullied at art school is the worst bc not only are you getting picked on by people who post voltron discourse but every mean thing they say to you is verbatim lifted from a text post youâve already seen and that has damaged my self respect in a way that nothing else ever could
knowing i am lower on the college food chain than 20 year olds who say âweird flex but okayâ and âsure janâ in real life has done irreparable psychological damage
I canât wrap my head around art school bullies
i said i hate anime and now they want me dead
Oh I thought they were just being mean you didnât tell me you provoked them
