2016 GAMING PROJECT: DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION
THE GOOD: The universe setting, the mix of stealth and action game. The characters are engaging and interesting, especially the banter between Adam and Frank.
THE BAD: MEGAN. The controls are something to get used to, with switching between 1st and 3rd person views. Some of the coolest skills are reserved for killing people and you can’t use them if you play non-lethal. No real consequences of killing people.
OVERALL SCORE: 17/20
2016 GAMING PROJECT: THE STANLEY PARABLE
THE GOOD: Everything. The narrator. The story. The sounds. The nonsensical nature of some endings. The philosophical nature of others. The humor. The black humor. The yellow adventure line. The baby minigame.
THE BAD: Some endings are so random you can’t find them without consulting the internet first.
OVERALL SCORE: 18.5/20
2016 GAMING PROJECT: HEXCELLS + HEXCELLS PLUS
THE GOOD: Logic puzzles that you can solve bit by bit when you have free time and you want to exercise your brain a bit.
THE BAD: It’s hard to judge a game that doesn’t really have graphics or sound to begin with. Some of the new puzzle rules in Hexcells Plus made absolutely no sense to me.
OVERALL SCORE: 6.5/20 (But it will go into the ‘average’ category, since there are no graphics and sounds to judge)

2016 GAMING PROJECT: THE DESCENDANT [EP1]
THE GOOD: The Descendant tries very hard to look like something that Telltale Games made. The post-apo story seemed very interesting at first and I might have been hooked on it if not for all the badness below.
THE BAD: The graphics have a nasty tendency to dramatically slow down frame rate or just glitch out completely. There isn’t much to do when it comes to gameplay - even less than in some of the recent TTG releases (I’m looking at you, Game of thrones). The camera spazzes out and the controls can be unresponsive. Overall, I don’t think I will be playing any more episodes.
OVERALL SCORE: 11/20
2016 GAMING PROJECT: MANDAGON
THE GOOD: The pixel art style is brilliant. The music is amazing. The plot is simple but resonates deeply - a story about afterlife and death. And best of all, it’s a FREE GAME on Steam.
THE BAD: Very, very short. Like, 20 minute short.
OVERALL SCORE: 16/20
2016 GAMING PROJECT: DISHONORED
THE GOOD: The steampunk style. The stylized characters. The sneaking around. The different endings for low and high chaos. The voice acting is great (though the main character is mute). The DLCs are great and feel like a full-length game.
THE BAD: The story is a little generic and some plot twits are predictable. Can’t really remember a lot of the music. The fact that non-lethal playthrough denies you the use of half of the toys that lethal playthrough has. The save system is wonky and could use tweaking.
OVERALL SCORE: 17/20
