“Take You There Remix”– 9th Wonder
Out of an ancient stone haystack in Spain, grew a contemporary weekend summer house. Looking at it’s modern style from the outside doesn’t give away how the interior is decorated in a mashup of thrifted finds.
But, the home is owned by antique shop owners. Look at the colorful mix.
The pieces they brought to decorate the home were either in the store for 3 yrs., or weren’t advertised to sell online.
The dining room table was picked up on the street. The shelves are IKEA and the lamp is American from the 50′s.
The turquoise cupboard is a popular piece in local furniture stores and the hanging shelf is from the 50′s.
Their son’s little loft room features an old watchmakers worktable, Nordic chairs from the 50′s, and a Swedish school poster from the 30′s.
The bathroom has an English-made sink, a cabinet maker’s mirror (I never knew that) and a German light fixture.
In the master, the patchwork bedspread is from Uzbekistan, the headboard is a piece of Swedish fabric from the early 20th century, the bedside table is Nordic, and military chest of drawers is English, both from the 50′s. This house is real League of Nations, isn’t it?
