happy fatherās day to captain raymond holt and doctor kevin cozner
a chapterbook: *came with a stitched in ribbon bookmark, had a cloth spine, had those rough edged finished pages, or came with a map*
8 year old me: i am a 500 year old librarian and this is the most valuable book in my collection. i rescued it myself from a castle as it burned to the ground. *gingerly runs my little grubby hands down its spine and gazes wistfully out of the school bus window* i am the keeper of all civilizationās knowledge
They need to redo twilight by just having the actors go back to the filming locations and try to recreate it from memory
Anna Kendrick couldnāt even remember being in the movie. This is an amazing idea
Hello, comrades. As pride month approaches, remember that a corporation is not and cannot be an LGBT ally and they only want your money. Especially remember this when it comes to alcohol corporations, as the LGBT community is at an incredibly high risk for alcoholism. They are preying on you and only want you to buy from them
anyone else ever daydream for 6 hours straight and then after ur just like nah letās scrap that and do it all again but slightly to the left
my brain: *out of breath* Was that good?!
Me in a beret, taking a long draft from a cigarette and leaning back in my directorās chair: once again, from the top, this time with feeling
me, as a child lining up stuff in rows: now this is how you have fun
do u ever remember all the horrible offensve things u said when u were like 15 and u literally feel ur soul detach and turn 2 dustĀ
rich people are unironically like āpoor people can save money easily bc a box of oatmeal and a box of a crackers is only $3 and that can last you a weekā like they genuinely want poor people to live like peasants
thatās not true they donāt want poor people to live at all
me: the test wasnāt fair. since he couldnāt see eurydice, itās understandable that orpheus got scared and began to doubt she was really there, and wanted to look at her for reassurance. even though it was an awful mistake that doomed them both, itās a mistake that anyone couldāve made, which is what makes it an effective tragedy.
also me: really, orpheus? you were THIS CLOSE. you couldnāt have made it another ten feet? REALLY?
when i was a teenager it felt very revolutionary to be cruel to myself. like some kind of slow passive protest against how much everything hurt. i starved myself of sleep and food and tenderness because it felt right. it felt sharp and angry and radical and i wanted to be those things. adulthood is the realisation that the world is already working to cut into you well before you learn how to do it yourself. caring for yourself and others is the real protest
Reblog if you want Ryan Ross to come out with new music but only when heās happy and healthy and not becuase heās stressed and sad
AšFUCKINGšMENš
Teachers and professors that accept late assignments and allow you to retake exams deserve nothing but the best in the world.
Educators that actually care about you succeeding no matter how many times you fail at first are a godsend
