Season 10 opening: It’s set up in Buck’s household. Theo is skipping around the house, with a bread in his hand.
Buck is yelling for him to eat his breakfast from the kitchen.
Suddenly it goes very quiet. Buck becomes antsy so he rushes to the living room.
“You shouldn’t run around while eating, you know?”
“You can get hurt, Theo. Then, I’ll be sad. Buck will be sad too.”
“Yes, he will definitely cry.”
Theo throws his head back, bumping into his chest, as he laughs at the picture of three of them crying.
Buck shakes his head fondly. Eddie smiles up at him.
“Come on, let’s go eat in the kitchen. I think I smell pancakes.”
Theo shrieks, “Eddie loves pancakes!”
Eddie scoops Theo up, walking towards Buck.
Buck has that grateful glint in his eyes, “Thank you, Eddie.”
Eddie shifts Theo to another hip, as a hand climbs up to Buck’s cheek, “You owe me lasagna and snickerdoodles.” Then, he plants a quick kiss on Buck’s cheek.
“Me too!” Theo screams making both of them flinch.
Buck smothers kisses on Theo’s face.
“Since when are you guys dating?”
Eddie blinks. Suddenly feeling confused. He looks at Buck who’s still have the same fond smile.
Buck chuckles, too calm compared to Eddie’s impending panic, and he raises his hand.
There’s a gold ring. On his ring finger. Buck takes Eddie’s left hand. There’s a gold ring on his finger too.
Buck kisses Eddie’s ring finger, lovingly, and says, “Married. He’s my husband.”
Eddie wakes up with a gasp, and a very warm feeling in his chest. His eyes water – multiple emotions hitting him all at once.
He raises his left hand. Empty. No ring.
Then, 9-1-1 opening title card.
