i fucking hate this vegan milk propaganda because almond milk tends to have an additive in it that in large amounts can be harmful, plus almonds are DESTROYING California, they are in a drought and almonds take SO MUCH WATER to grow

The main almond production is also a huge part of why honey bee colony collapse happens. 60% of the US’s kept honeybees go to California every year and 25% of those bees die from the pesticides there. Not to mention shit like bee heists actually happen.

Not only that but store bought almond milk is almost 98% water and 2% actual almonds. You’re better off making almond milk at home tbh, it tastes better and wont have the shitty additives in it.

Anyway, big point here is that the almond industry might be a cow alternative but if it truly becomes a cow alternative there will be no way to actually maintain that many fucking almonds without destroying California completely, and it’s still fucking up the environment and using ‘animal labor’ to pollinate the damn almonds. Extremist vegans don’t really care about the environment, they only care about feeling superior to other people for what they choose to not eat, and they only ever listen to the same groups of people, they quote the same facts, the same articles, insist that this one scientist is somehow the only one who is correct, they are parrots who repeat what they are told is going on but they don’t ever bother to really look behind the alternatives they are given

they just see “not animal product” and jump for it like it somehow makes them a better person, little do they know they could be supporting child labor or human creulty, they could be supporting something that is slowly destroying the environment because it’s not natural for it to be in such high abundance and the ecosystem can’t always keep up

it’s okay to be vegan but for godsake do your research before you claim your meat alternatives are better.
