Need Clothes?
Name: Ethanol
Age: 29
Gender: She/They/It
Misc: Parent to Fractured Facade. Ex-Fireball. If you need clothes, that's her domain.
Tripp is on the stage, asking various questions about where props will go during a certain scene. He's wearing tight black pants with his favorite platform boots, sporting a brand new lipstick-print crop top he made himself styled over a fishnet top.
He points upstage, asking about a chair.
Kaz is in the audience chairs, one leg up and one leg hanging down. His elbow is rested on his thigh, rubbing a manicured nail over his lips as he quietly watches. He's wearing his comfortable burgundy wide-leg slacks, some worn boots, and a black dress shirt that's only half-buttoned with the bottom tucked.
@tablet-tripp-kjrp
(Cabaret positions the chair where ney feel it goes best for the scene in question, her black pumps making no sound as she moves across the stage plotting out each props place. She’s in a purple resin corset over a red tartan skirt, script tucked under her arm)
I think some of the props need to be present throughout. It wouldn’t be practical to move them every scene change.
"Hmmm... Yeah. I feel like we could drape things over other props to minimize the amount of moving?" Tablet suggests.
"Like we could put things in front of or overtop some of the bigger tables and chairs instead of shifting them every time?"
So long as nothing drops, yea. I’d like just one show with no injuries…
(A foolish hope, truly)
I have a few things we can drape over stuff. Blankets and old rolls of fabric.
"Definitely. Maybe not moving these tables as much will fix that!" Tablet shrugs.
"I'm sure we could scrounge up a couple old tablecloths. Plus, for the scenes we need the chairs in place of the tables we could just set them in front. Sure, we'd have less room, but also maybe less hazard!"
Tablecloths will do great too.
(She nods, satisfied)
Alright- on that note, break time.
"Sounds good!" Tablet smiles, skittering gracefully off to Kaz.
"Kaz!" Tripp smiles at him. "Do you want to go down to the market after I'm done here? Or just stay home?"
Kaz looks over at Tripp, his hand falling back to his lap slowly. "Whatever you want." He says quietly with a soft smile, the kind that makes any sharp angles melt away for just a moment.
"Mmm... I'd like to check out a few things at the market. The usual stalls, you know?" Tablet smiles.
Kaz nods, gaze roaming Tripp's face. "We can go there." He murmurs, his voice soft.
"Maybe we could take Cab?"
"Sure."
(Cab just smiles at them both, grabbing a soda ney stashed by the stage on her way down to the seats)
We shouldn’t be too much longer anyways! I want to walk through the reveal scene before we go- and then we have to move the chair benches back so Thrust can open later.
Tablet nods with a grin.
"Will you need help moving the chair benches back?" Kaz glances at Cab.
If you wouldn’t mind…
(She nods, sat cross legged on a seat. Malbec isn’t there, at home with Frostbite looking over a “murder board”)
"I wouldn't." Kaz says simply. Tripp perches on the arm of the seat Kaz is sitting in, their legs brushing.
Kaz's fingers rub into each other in a slow, repetitive pattern.
Ta.
(She sips neir soda, sighing. A nice normal day has been long awaited)
"I'm gonna go get water from my bag." Tripp murmurs, his hand sliding over Kaz's shoulder as he walks off. It's a featherlight motion that he doesn't quite mean to do so obviously.
(Ney note it but say nothing, surveying the stage like she’s playing out the scenes in her head)
Noose should be coming tomorrow- bringing their sister to have a look round. She seems alright.
Kaz listens silently, also glancing at the stage. "Which one is their sister again..?"
Leaf, I think. She’s not been here with everyone before- they want to try and get into it.
(She recalls details slowly)
They were gone for a bit, it was why Noose dipped out for a while…
Kaz nods. "Well... Best of luck."
Tripp saunters back with a water and a lemonade, handing the lemonade to Kaz.
Kaz smiles at them and takes a sip.
I think it’ll be okay.
(Cab smiles and adjusts how her legs are crossed)
After the market, think ya could give me a lift to the shed?
"Definitely!" Tablet nods. "How's your guest doing?"
They’re doing good! Velvet and it are working on some sort of mystery board at the moment- its got them both pretty occupied.
(She smiles, finishing her soda)
"Glad they're doing well!" Tripp smiles, sipping water.
Kaz takes small, slow sips of his lemonade. "I could go ahead and move those chair benches if you want, Cabaret?"
Might as well make a start!
(She smiles, nodding at Tripp’s response as well as ney stand up)
Kaz nods, stepping up onto the stage to start moving the benches, rolling the sleeves of his shirt up to his elbows with an almost deliberate slowness.
Tripp watches as he sips his water before setting it down and joining.
(Ney also help, lifting quite well as she moves the benches about)
Kaz follows where ney want the benches, moving relatively fast. Tripp is slower than both of them, but lifting just fine.
(Cabaret doesn’t seem to stop to rest until they’re all moved back to storage, feeling the burn in her muscles as they get worked again)
Kaz nods to himself when they're all moved back, rolling his sleeves back down slowly.
Tripp goes back to sipping water. "Anything we're forgetting to do?"
I hope not. But I don’t believe so. The lighting hasn’t been touched.
(Cab huffs a breath, stretching out neir arms)
Tablet nods. "Mkay! Hmm... We ready to hit the market?"
Why not? I wouldn’t mind grabbing a few things…
(She continues stretching a little bit)
You both ready?
Tripp grabs his bag. "Mhm! Kaz?"
"Mhm." He nods, walking towards where he parked his car outside, an old Black Convertible Mustang he doesn't particularly prefer to repaint anytime soon.
Tripp is hopping along behind him. "You want backseat or passenger seat, Cab?"
Oh…
(Cab tries to think, before shrugging)
I’ll take the back!
Tablet nods, opening the backside door for nem.
Kaz slides into the driver's seat, while Tablet all but jumps into the passenger's side.
(Cabaret hops in the back and sits in the middle for a good view of the road)
I wonder if the sweet stall is back yet- the non alcoholic one…
"Ooh! I hope so!" He smiles.
"I might visit Ethanol's stall." Kaz says quietly as he starts the car, at a nice cruising speed towards the market.
I want to visit Ethanol- see if she’s got some of those resin corsets.
(She smiles to herself)
Kaz nods.
Tripp is gazing at Kaz as if he's 10 miles away and not right next to him, a small smile on his face before he forcibly tears his eyes towards the road. "Yeah, her corsets are always pretty! I can't believe she makes em."
They’re pretty fantastic.
(Ney sigh, liking the one she has but really wanting a collection)
Kaz parks several feet away from the market.
Tripp grins and hops out of the car, waiting for Cab and Kaz like an overexcited puppy.
Kaz smiles, getting out of his car and walking around to the hood.
(She gets out carefully, leaning against the car and looking round slowly- a thing she’s only done since the attack)
Kaz and Tripp wait for her, like they always do. Kaz locks the car, Tripp adjusts his bag over his shoulder.
(Cab eventually nods to nemself and starts to walk)
Where we headed?
"Hmmm... Wherever you wanna start!" Tripp shrugs, following behind her. Kaz walks behind Tripp quietly.
(She notes that while Apple isn’t there, Cup is running the sweet stall, and the usual paint stall is absent)
Hmm… I’m not sure.
"Hmm... Kaz?" Tripp glances behind him.
Kaz pauses. "We could look at Ethanol's stall."
Tripp smiles. "You down for that, Cab?"
Absolutely!
(She smiles, letting them walk ahead)
Tablet skips ahead with a grin. Kaz falls into step behind them, hands in his pockets.
(Cab walks gracefully as usual, still glancing about. She’s never been attacked in the open, but who knows?)
Tablet and Kaz get to Ethanol's stall, who is currently setting up the corset display while her kid, Facade, adds more patches to the basket.
@ethanol-is-on-fire
There's several different colors of corsets, one of them an overbust corset with purple swirls on a white background and glitter on the gold boning.
Facade taps Ethanol's shoulder, who turns around. "Well, look who it is! How we doing today?" Ethanol smiles at Tripp and Kaz, waving at Cabaret.
"Great!"
"Doing fine, Ethanol. You?"
@chaoticcabaret-kjrp
(Cabaret waves back, smiling and looking at the clothes. The corsets are calling to her)
These are stunning.
"Awh! Thank you! I've got plenty more if you fancy lookin' through a tub." Ethanol chuckles, moving some tight-fitted pants up to the front of the rack.
Facade goes back to their seat inside the stall to continue embroidering a shirt.
Yes please.
(Cabaret looks excited, loving Ethanol’s work)
Ethanol smiles, happy someone's interested. She pulls out a heavy looking tub. There's various different corsets, some pastel to vibrant to muted, some simplistic or embellished, from overbust to underbust and a couple belt-style ones.
Kaz is looking at certain patterns of baggy pants, while Tripp is eying up a cute pastel green off-shoulder shirt.
(Cabaret pulls out a muted purple under bust, and rifles through the overbusts whilst crippled by indecision)
So many choices…
Ethanol smiles. "I'm sure I could get you a deal goin', if you really can't decide."
"I think you'd look good in those shirts that make people look medievally-homeless." Tripp mutters to Kaz, who raises an eyebrow.
"Tripp. What?"
Maybe-
(She looks at them both)
Tripp’s not wrong…
(She goes back to the over bust corsets, and nods to nemself as she picks out a deep blue and a pastel pink, before looking at a more detailed one)
The more detailed one is a periwinkle color with blue and white resin flowers embedded into it. The boning is white, covered in dark grey-blue vines and vibrant purple flowers.
"Ooh, that one is very nice." Ethanol smiles.
"Ethanol, do you know what shirt I'm talking about? Uh... They make someone look vaguely homeless but like... In a hot way? Medieval-style? No shoulders? Uh... None of the threaded neck either?"
Ethanol thinks. "Mmm... I think I know what you're on about. Black or off-white?"
"Both!"
Ethanol pulls out both colors of the shirt, handing them over. Tripp smiles proudly and thrusts them both towards Kaz.
"Mm... You might not be wrong about this." Kaz says quietly.
"Of course I'm not!" Tripp scrunches his face up. Kaz smiles fondly.
(Cabaret stifles a laugh at the pair, picking up the beautiful corset)
These will do. Oh… actually- you got any lighter fabrics? Not lighter colours, the ones that are more airy. For Velv.
"Yeah! I've got plenty of linens. I've also got some silk. Some cotton blends that are really airy, too. What exactly are you looking for?"
Something to go over his binder. Uh… maybe a cotton blend?
(Cabaret just wants her partner to not be self conscious)
"Sure! Hm... Baggy, full-coverage? Or regular fit something?"
Not baggy. I guess like 2/3 coverage? Ish?
(Cabaret pictures the most worn binder in her head)
"T-shirt or something button-up?" Ethanol asks, already looking at labeled tubs behind the booth.
Tshirt preferably, please.
(Cab glances around again, anxiety setting in)
"You got it!" Ethanol drags out a tub of cotton-blend t-shirts of various styles and colors. All of them are very lightweight.
Tripp and Kaz are still looking over pants together.
(She picks out a polkadot one, a striped one, and then just a dark brown one)
You two decided anything?
Kaz nods, holding the two shirts Tripp picked out for him, along with some he picked for himself.
Tripp smiles. "Yep!"
Gorgeous.
(Ney nod, and then nod at Ethanol)
I think I have everything for today. Do you have a bag?
"Yeah!" Ethanol hands over a large canvas bag. "That'll be 373."
Perfect.
(Cabaret hands over the right amount, keeping it all neat and folded)
Thank you Ethanol.
"Of course!" Ethanol smiles.
Kaz hands over his stuff as she looks over. She looks over all the tags. "355."
Kaz nods, handing over the carbons as Tripp puts the clothes in his bag. "Thank you."
"Come back anytime, you three!" Ethanol waves.
"We'll try!" Tripp grins.

@ethanol-is-on-fire
You?"
@chaoticcabaret-kjrp
@tablet-tripp-kjrp

@ethanol-is-on-fire
You?"
@chaoticcabaret-kjrp
@tablet-tripp-kjrp

@ethanol-is-on-fire
You?"
@chaoticcabaret-kjrp
@tablet-tripp-kjrp

@atomicvodkakilljoy
Ethanol is busy rearranging her stall contents, refilling displays and such. She doesn't notice him yet.
She's in her favorite tank top and high-waisted pants.
(He walks slowly, almost limping as he goes. He really doesn’t want to frighten Ethanol)
The moment Ethanol turns around she tenses visibly. "Hi.. here for an order?" Her voice is shaky and weak.
Not… exactly. Here to explain, if… if you’ll let me.
(He has his hands raised in an almost surrendering gesture, trying to be unthreatening)
Ethanol nods slowly.
(He takes a shaky step closer, keeping his arms up)
I didn’t want to hurt you, eith-either of you. I didn’t get a choice… I was being possessed by a ghost.
(He pauses to try and gauge her reaction)
Ethanol nods shakily, figuring ghosts probably exist if Frostbite can come back. "I kind of figured. Wasn't sure if she was still possessing you. Uhm... You holding up?"
Whiskey burned. She’s gone. I tried to fight back, but she… she was strong.
(He considers the question)
I’m better than I was then. Stronger, at least a little.
Ethanol nods. "She was always forceful. Glad you're better."
@fractured-facade
Facade comes out of the back of the booth with a bottle of water, immediately zeroing in on Vodka. "You."
@atomicvodkakilljoy
(He has a flash of what he did to Facade, eyes almost widening. He freezes up, not moving)
Um… hi.
(He’s barely audible)
"Get out." It says lowly.
"Facade—"
"Get out before I knock your teeth in!" It takes a step forward. Ethanol grips its shoulder.
"Let him explain."
"Why should I?"
Because I’m telling the truth.
(He says it as clearly as possible, voice shaky but genuine. He doesn’t step back, not moving away)
Facade scoffs. "I was sedated and forced to watch my Ma get carved into, and I'm just supposed to live with that because you got possessed?"
"It wasn't him. It was Whiskey, and I'm so sorry she came after you, too."
I tried. I tried to stop her. I’m sorry I couldn’t stop her.
(He sounds deeply sorry, almost guilty sounding)
You don’t have to believe me. I just needed to explain.
Facade walks off. Ethanol sighs.
"We appreciate the explanation.. thank you. Really."
Yea. I couldn’t just… yea.
(He frowns a little, unable to explain what he means)
"Well... While you're here can I do anything for ya before I pack up?"
Oh…
(He has a look, interested in the patches)
I don’t suppose you have a rat patch in there?
"Hmmm.... We might." Ethanol looks through the bin, finding one small, grey rat patch with a crown. "That's all I got."
Oh- that looks awesome.
(He smiles at it, looking to find a cat patch)
There's two cat patches in there. One tabby cat and one cartoon-ish grumpy cat.
(He takes both and sets them to the side)
Do you… I heard you take orders. Would you be able to hide what’s in the order? I think it might be best if I send my sibling to collect.
"Yeah. I mean, I could wrap the order in spare fabric or I could find an opaque bag. What do you want?"
Could you do a green tartan trouser, but one leg is dark purple instead? It’s for my sibling.
(He says quietly)
Ethanol writes it down. "Do you know what measurements?"
They usually find medium stuff, but they’re a little longer in the leg. Two inches longer, I think.
(He takes some carbons from his pocket to pay)
"Sounds good!" Ethanol writes it down, too. "That'll be 60."
(He counts out 65, and hands it over in a small bag)
There. Thank you again…
"Of course. Have a good one, yeah? I'll have the order by the end of the week."
I’ll try… thank you.
(He manages a faint smile, taking the patches and going to leave)
Ethanol waves and starts packing up the stall, wanting to get Facade home.

(Vodka walks toward Ethanol’s stall, sporting a blue fishnet tee under his sleeveless black jacket and skinny jeans that tuck into purple platform boots. The only physical difference in his appearance from when he was possessed is the no longer so vivid scar from mouth to ear, and that he’s a bit less skin and bone. He looks nervous yet determined, no visible weapons)
@atomicvodkakilljoy
@fractured-facade
Facade comes out of the back of the booth with a bottle of water, immediately zeroing in on Vodka. "You."
@atomicvodkakilljoy
