The Prisoner đ€
this cavefish has a concept of the passage of time that no other living animal could fathom
âEveryone has the same 24hâ yeah right buddy say that to cavefish
almost all animals have set activity and rest patterns and this guy does whatever whenever
Hilariously funny that they let the guy known for wandering off without warning to look at birds was allowed to do this
#famously few birds in space#probably the safest place to take him
winking and blinking at the baby dog face puffer until he figures out that i'm doing it on purpose, to communicate with him
you can actually see the moment he realizes, it's really cute
No.
then it's worthless to me
I had a dream last night that I ran away from fascists and ended up at this farm that was full of this weird but very large prehistoric animal that was like a fluffy Tapir and I want to know if it actually exists. It was about the size of a Dairy Cow.
Like this but with big fluffy hair with white streaks
Oh my god
thank god vampirism is a flexible metaphor
itâs about being queer itâs about surviving assault itâs about alienation and most of all itâs about how everyone who loved you before might not be able to even look at you now, no matter how many times you try to explain that you didnât ask to die and you didnât ask for that death to leave you only half-eaten when it got bored of you.
This is without even mentioning the broader metaphorical implications of disease and contagion; foreign invasion; colonial or imperial violence; interpersonal abuse; generational trauma; religious trauma; violent cultural assimilation; repressed or suppressed desire; the fear of no longer being able to recognise or relate to someone you love; and on and on and on.
Vampirism is a flexible metaphor that reflects the anxieties and desires of its age and its authors, and I love that for it!

excerpt from the original post: this is dictamnus albusâcommonly called gas plant. on hot days, it emits a citrusy, flammable oil that briefly ignites when exposed to flame. itâs completely harmless to the plant, but incredible to witness.
first post here, outer wilds drawing of mine!
Wooo a lot of plants....
If i were ever to do a post-loop AU where Solanum gets to live, she'd be taking care of several plants and naming them after other Nomai she knew... This piece is inspired by that thought
