VIDEO: WORLD PREMIERE - BEYONCE "WHO RUN THE WORLD"

DEAR WORLD,

Of course we ALL have been anxiously awaiting the release of Beyonce's video for the first single off of her fourth album, "Who Run The World". Honestly the single hasn't been getting a lot of radio play so I was hoping that the video would spark some kind of interest with people who are not DIE HARD Beyonce fans.

I dont know what to make of the video. Its post-Apocalyptic theme can be an ode to Tina Turner circa "Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome" but it kinda reminds me of a JUMBLE of scenes with no REAL purpose... and not in a good way like her "Crazy In Love" video.

The fashion was on point though... The choreo... I'll give it a B+... she is NOT a footwork dancer! I can see her counting in her head (1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8)! Nevertheless, I appreciate the new dance style... All in all, I think this single and video will only appeal to the TRUE FANS...

Anywho... Beyonce's new album entitled "4" (I swear her and Jay Z are OBSESSED with that number!) is slated for a June 28th release date... Im predicting a FIERCE Beyonce opening for the 2011 BET Awards since that show is days before her album release...

My gut feeling is that she is just throwing this album and videos together... take your time BEY! But I'll give her the benefit of the doubt...

After hearing the 22 second preview last week, I HATED THE SONG... but the song in its entirety is kinda bomb! I cant relate to the lyrics BUT THAT BEAT IS the SHIZZZ!!! Good job sampling Major Lazer's "PON DE FLOOR"!!! And I've seen pix of from the video shoot and ... yeah... its gonna be FIERCE!!! ENJOY!!!

BUY OR BOOTLEG: "CHRIS BROWN "F.A.M.E." ALBUM REVIEW

DEAR WORLD,

Today Chris Brown's album "F.A.M.E." hit stores. First of all, his acronym for FAME stands for "FANS ARE MY EVERYTHING" and/or "FORGIVING ALL MY ENEMIES"... ummmm OKAY Chris #sideeye

Honestly, I want dude to get his career back (although it may be IMPOSSIBLE at this point). But this album is SOOOOO OVER HYPED!!!!! I can appreciate the techno/pop vibe he was going for but it sounds like USHER went to the JERSEY SHORE and made a bunch of DEMOS...

In regards to my review... this is DEFINITELY a BOOTLEG album!!!

Outside of the hits "No Bullshit", "Deuces" and a couple of other songs, this album does nothing for me! I will say this though, "BOMB" ft Wiz Khalifa is MY SHIT!!! That track goes hard in the paint! Peep it ABOVE! "Wet The Bed" ft Ludacris is kinda hot too... as well as "Yeah 3xs"...

I'll say this, if you do decide to purchase this album, get the DELUXE VERSION because the additional songs are HOTTER than the original LP song! But who knows...this album may just grow on me...  I do have a feeling this album is gonna be #1 next week Billboard Hot 200!!! GOOD LUCK CHRIS!

REST IN BEATS: NATE DOGG DIES AT 41

DEAR WORLD,

Last night, West Coast crooner Nate Dogg (Nathaniel Hale) died. The cause of death is not reported but he survived 2 stokes - one in 2007 and one in 2008- which may be related to his passing. He was just 41!

Back when the West Coast was running hip hop music, there wasnt a song out without a Nate Dogg feature. Tupac, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and Warren G all had Nate Dogg featured on their tracks! He also sang the hit records "21 Questions" by 50 Cent and "I Got Hoes" by Ludacris! "Regulate" is my FAVORITE Nate Dogg song! R.I.P. Nate Dogg!

2011 ACADEMY AWARDS: BEST DRESSED

DEAR WORLD,

Last night marked the FINAL and MOST EXTRAVAGANT show of awards show season - THE ACADEMY AWARDS!!!! I was REALLY surprised because for the most part EVERYBODY brought their A GAME! Here are My TOP PICKS for BEST DRESSED for the 2011 ACADEMY AWARDS!

1) OPRAH WINFREY in ZAC POSEN

Although she didnt grace the red carpet, OPRAH WINFREY DEFINITELY stole the show in this gown! When she walked towards the microphone to present the award for 'Best Documentary', I LITERALLY dropped my JAW! This ZAC POSEN custom piece was contemporary yet age appropriate for the media mogul!!! The silhoutte and cut compliment her body PERFECTLY! And I am LIVING for the dark silver to platinum gradient bedazzle bottom! For me, Oprah was HANDS DOWN best dressed for the night! And she was presenting for about 5 minutes so that yields $3000.00 ($10/sec)!!!

2) HEIDI KLUM in JULIEN MACDONALD

Although NOT in attendence, HEIDI KLUM deserves to be on the BEST DRESSED list in this JULIEN MACDONALD piece! She donned this dress at Elton John's Oscar party. I LOVE the glass/mirror detail across her decolletage and the nude sleeve with bits of beading/crystal on the arm is VERY ice queen!

3) HALLE BERRY in MARCHESA

In my eyes, HALLE BERRY can NEVER do wrong when it comes to the red carpet! She SLAYS in this nude MARCHESA dress! I LOVE the embellished details here and there along the dress which lead to the silk toile train! It's so SIMPLE yet ELEGANT!

4) MILA KUNIS in ELIE SAAB

As soon as MILA KUNIS hit the red carpet I knew she was rocking ELIE SAAB. From a distance this periwinkle (NOT PURPLE) dress looks simple and chic! However up close there is A LOT of LACE DETAILING!!! Very COUTURE! This dress is very MARIE ANTOINETTE meets APHRODITE!!!

5) JENNIFER HUDSON in ATELIER VERSACE

All I can say is I'm joining WEIGHT WATCHERS ASAP!!!! WOOOOOOWWWW!!! I've said it ALL AWARD SEASON but J HUD turned heads and BROKE NECKS in this tangerine ATELIER VERSACE piece! If she could have worn THIS instead of that BOLERO JACKET she wore at 2007 OSCARS.....HMMMMM.... The only thing I didnt like was HER HAIR! Shit was doing STUNTS AND SHOWS! And the zipper on her dress was showing BUT she looks FAB nonetheless!

6) NATALIE PORTMAN in RODARTE

CONGRATULATIONS to NATALIE PORTMAN for winning BEST ACTRESS last night and congrats on REDEEMING yourself from the VIKTOR & ROLFE mess you wore at the GOLDEN GLOBES! This merlot RODARTE dress makes Natalie look like a chic pregnant Grecian mom! Them toes in those shoes are SPREAD like a...well...BLACK SWAN!!! I thought your NOSE spreads when your preggers not your FEET but FAB either way!!

7) HILARY SWANK in GUCCI

Hilary Swank makes me wanna say "AYE AYE AYE OKAY" in this GUCCI number! SIMPLE, CHIC!!! That gradient feather train is EVERYTHING!!!!! And GOOD JOB on the SIMPLE JEWERLY! EARRINGS and/or a NECKLACE would have been TOO MUCH!!!!

I really love these EMILIO PUCCI navy suede platform sandals!!! The gold leather trimmed straps in combination with the navy suede and cork heel allows you to either DRESS UP or DRESS DOWN with these sandals. However these shoes are not for AMATEUR HEEL WALKERS - the heel is 6 inches tall with a 1.5 inch platform.

These sandals would pair nicely with distressed denim jeans OR shorts, a simple tank and CHUNKY accessories! Or you could go for a classic look and pair them with a simple draped navy or white cocktail dress and a gold clutch!
