In elements of the round,What was your favorite magical oufit you have the funest to draw out of the 4 main cast
I love drawing Oz's outfit! It may be a bit simple, but its one of my favorites.
Design wise, I love Ninas. I feel like it really encompasses the magical girl aesthetic and the element of water. The amount of frills and pearls just makes it a bit tedious to draw.
One last question in elements of the round what are the sexual orientation of the main cast?

What inspire you to create elements of the round?
Im very inspired by Arthurian legend and classic magical girls like Tokyo Mew Mew, Princess Tutu, and Sailor Moon. I wanted to make something that involved the classic Arthurian characters, but had a more modern cast. I also really wanted to make a magical girl/boy series and the rest kind of fell into place.
The story itself has evolved very much from its original conception though. It originally was much darker, involved a lot more witches, and the characters had different powers. I couldnt really get the story to work out right though, but talking it out to myself got the story to where it is now.
I dont know if I actually answered the inspiration question, but I hope this is kind of what you were looking for

Synopsis: On Oscar's 16th birthday, a powerful witch named Morgana breaks free from her amulet prison. Entrusted with amulets from his grandfather, Oscar and his friends are given them the ability to transform and battle Morgana. Her goal? To find Merlin's spellbook and rewind time to reclaim Camelot, which she believes was unjustly taken by her brother, Arthur. It's a race against time for Oscar and his crew to stop Morgana before she can rewrite history!

Time travel destroyed the plot. It made Viktor and Jayce's connection shallow because it made their characters shallow.
If Jayce reaches for Viktor only because Viktor sets Jayce's life into a path of pursuing magic because he saved him and gave him a rune before, it cheapens their connection.
Which makes the whole astral plane ending for them feel empty.
I whole heartily agree. It felt completely unnecessary to even reveal who gave Jayce the rune stone in the first place, but having it be a weird time-travel/multiple timelines thing made Jayces choices feel less purposeful. Like, Viktor set the whole thing in motion, and it gets rid of Jayces agency. Its like Viktor almost forced Jayces hand into meeting him. Which I guess can been seen as romantic, in Howls Moving Castle sort of way, but like you said also cheapens their connection to each other.
This is a bit off the original topic but, I never once felt like we needed to know who the mage in episode 2 was either. It was a mystery that didnt need solving and by doing so, in the way that they did it, felt like the storytelling that season 1 had started to unravel. No longer was it an intricate character driven story, where the characters felt real and like what they were going through was real. The story instead feels like its dragging its characters through plot points that the writers wanted to hit, without caring how it affected each character or if it made sense with their previous morals and goals. Kind of like the writers thought "Wouldn't it be cool if this happened?" and found a way to shove it into the story. The whole season felt like it was made by a completely different writing team.
