SO. for anyone who doesn't know who Thorin is. He's apart of a story @simplycrowza and me are making called Evergrove!! It's kinda like MHA in the way that it's set in a world where everyone has powers and there's a heroes vs villains thing going on! It's all set in the city of Evergrove :3
Currently Thorin is a hero, but he's not very active in his duties. Everyone in this story has a set of 2 powers, one main power and one secondary power. Thorin's powers are...
Artificial Rain- The ability to create artificial (rain) clouds over limited areas where he can control its amount/how long it stays/whatever, but it takes a good amount of concentration, said rain gives Thorin a "power up" to enhance his strength.
Temporary Invincibility- Becomes invincible for an undefined amount of time at the cost of being unable to inflict harm to anyone or anything.
I won't go into crazy detail cuz I can do that in other posts in the future, but essentially. Thorin was adopted by an older hero (to be named and officially designed) after the death of his parents. He joined the hero academy where he met one of our other MC's, August! They end up becoming best friends (he also becomes friends with another important character, Tio) up until they have a falling out before either of them graduate.
August tried to convince Thorin to join the villains side, claiming the hero organization was evil, but Thorin didn't believe any of it. So, August leaves the academy, Thorin grieves what could've been and turns to Tio for comfort. The two end up dating, graduate, and then Thorin is sent off on his first mission! By himself! Yaaay!
Said mission required him to fight a notoriously destructive and chaotic villain named "Pyromania" (I'm sure you can assume what her main power could be) Due to many factors, he was heavily underprepared for a fight like this. Before any reinforcements could show up, Thorin got too close in combat with the villain and they basically blasted him in the face. Luckily help came soon after that from both the villains and heroes. This incident did almost kill him though.
Thorin spent a little over a year in recovery, he got skin grafts, physical therapy, lots of... rest.... but he was never the same after. The battle left him terrified to go back into the field, he could barely even leave his house, he couldn't even look at himself in the mirror without getting flashbacks. Although he isn't, it's like he's in some form of retirement. But that's off topic-
During his recovery, his relationship with Tio grew strained, as with the help of Flutter, a healer he became close with, he realized Tio had been manipulating him for some time. They broke up and Thorin's been avoiding him like the plague ever since.
Now we're to how things are currently, Thorin has recovered (physically) from the ordeal, but he's far from okay. He spends most of his time inside, by himself, lost in his regrets and what ifs. He missed August and wishes he went with him, he wishes he didn't go on that mission. Even with his regret, he still doesn't see the organization like August did, like he's blind to the corruption.
He still does his duty as a hero, he's just... called on less than others.
UM i tried to make this as short as i could but im a yapper and theres still details missing anyway, ty to anyone who took the time to read this!!! I won't be sharing what happens past this point rn, but it'll be shared at some point!!!
