imagine you are a sheep. Imagine you are the smartest sheep in the entire world and yet your understanding of the world is so small. Imagine you are the wisest sheep in the flock and you carry the memory of everyone who came before so everyone else can be happy. Imagine being a winter lamb and dying for your flock. Imagine you are a good shepherd so loved by his flock that your sheep would do anything, even defy who they are, in order to avenge you.
and then imagine you are a brett goldstein ram and you finally have a reason for bashing. Bet that felt so good.
To this day I have never seen the movie adaptation of The Outsiders, because that book still makes me cry like a baby and I can only imagine how bad the movie will affect me. And I used to always see cast pictures and my favourite character was Dally so I picked out who I thought would be a good Dally from the description in those. So it did come as a bit of a shock to me when I first learnt that Emilio Estévez was Two-Bit and not Dallas because...blond hair? Icy eyes? Now that I've seen him in all these movies I get that he's a little goofy so it all makes sense but just on pure visuals he will always be Dallas in my mind's eye
Outsiders based off book descriptions <3
Things that have made me (almost 30yo) feel giddy like a teenager in the last couple of weeks, in no particular order:
- Dan and Phil hard launch
- started re-reading The Outsiders
- watching the Emilio Estévez movie back catalogue
- they're making a show out of Louise Kennedy's Trespasses and Michael Agnew is actually hot in it (which he wasn't in my mind when I read that book about 100 times for an article) and they had the gorse and the hands touching across a glass of whiskey
Is Phan Real? The Truth
MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE dir. Stephen King
I have now watched so much recent and semi recent Charlie Sheen/Emilio Estevez/Brat Pack content, that I feel pretty sure that during Charlie's interview with David Spade he was in Emilio's house because it looks the same as the home in the Brat documentary

No idea what was going on in Repo Man for about 80% of the time, but I have never seen a more relatable scene than when Otto very dramatically walks out of his job within the first two minutes of the movie because of a minor inconvenience
