the waiting game

The lightning strikes and he doesn't come back. She waits, and waits. Time feels like years go by. Maybe they do.

She waits. The hangar slowly begins to empty. Cisco and Killer Frost show up to apprehend Josselyn. He doesn't come back.

She waits. A day goes by. People around her ask her if she's alright. She says she's just waiting for someone. He doesn't come back.

She waits. A month has passed. They eventually left her alone about it. She's stuck with her thoughts now, and one less person. He doesn't come back.

She waits. She ends up returning to her own time period. This one was too empty. She wants to show him everything that's changed here. He doesn't come back.

She waits. Over the years she thinks she sees him in the corner of her eye. But he never is. He doesn't come back.

She's stopped waiting. Her friends are gone, lost to time and fickle human bodies. He comes back. It's been so long that she isn't sure if it's even him. But it is. He came back.

Flash Headcanons Pt. 2

HR gets really nostalgic when left alone in STAR Labs. Occasionally, he'll start to drum out one of his favorite songs (they don't seem to have it on Earth-1), while reciting lines from All's Wells That Ends Wells. Julian likes to go bowling, as it was a favorite after school activity for him and his sister. However, he tries to bring someone along with him now, so he doesn't get dragged down by the memories. Lisa stops by STAR Labs one day, only to see Gypsy and Cisco making out. She's just a bit jealous (he's really good at making out), but she's happy that he's found someone he enjoys.

Flash Headcanons

When Barry gets angry, sparks start crackling off him. The more emotional he is, the more they snap.

Cisco tried boxing once, but he accidentally kept vibing. (He later went back for actual lessons so he can look like a badass when he vibes.)

Sometimes Caitlin lies awake at night, pondering if she should just leave, right then, right there. She doesn't want Killer Frost to kill her friends, and if she leaves, then KF won't have the chance to.
