On a rewatch it's obviously not a surprise, but one of my favorite things about Black Sails S1 is that everybody else (not unreasonably!) handles Flint like a loaded gun and meanwhile Miranda is not afraid of him at all. Genuinely dangerous men carry themselves differently the moment he enters a room, and yet when he shouts in her face she doesn't even flinch. It's absolutely fascinating to watch as a viewer who doesn't know yet what exactly is going on

I cannot stop staring at my beautiful new work of art from the always amazing @keivni. If you ever get the opportunity to commission them, you should 1000% take it.
they really put her through all that in the second episode. when she was only two episodes old.
he went from a sexy "i'm just a boy who haves fun on the beach" tan
to an exhausted, sickly "doctor, i need my vitamin d prescription" gray
consider: the entire show is silver just sitting down to tell the whole story of black sails. and flints season 1 outfits are especially striking, so much so that i cant help but imagine silver describing them a la my immortal:
Captain Flint was a pirate (in case you couldn’t tell) and he wore mostly black. He liked black clothes because they were dark and he didn’t give a fuck what anyone thought. For example that day he was wearing a long black coat with silver buttons all down the front, over a dark faded burgundy shirt that was open a little at the chest. He was wearing tight black trousers and tall black leather boots. Around his waist was a huge, gay black leather belt covered in rows of silver studs, and there was a sword stuck through it with a fancy handle. His coat went almost all the way down to his boots and blew dramatically behind him in the wind. His hair was in a bun and he had the cuntiest mustache and he looked very queer and pissed off.
