the UPA style in animation, 90's does 50s, slight retrofuturism, all that stuff (im mainly thinking of cartoons lol) will make its rotation in niche stylistic trends like olderbrothercore, the emo invader zim look or like any "20 year trend recycle", but this time will focus on the stylisation of 90s-early early 200s cartoons (like Dexter's Labrotory and PPG)
this is mainly because of the 2020 "Y2K aesthetic" consisting of a lot of visuals from the Powerpuff Girls, but mainly focused on 90s-00s cartoons among the pinterest glitter moodboards.
I feel like we have evolved in the past couple of years to grasp more specific events/moods/eras with trained eyes, and with the ever speeding up trend cycles (like bruh we already back to 2010s nostalgia) we will soon look back on Y2K aesthetic tiktok, then going BACK to the source material, then going back to the UPA style of cartoons which will extend out to teenage cartoon artists making their highschool oc's in this equivalent of the clone high style, as it's not uncomfortably far off from it already.
