Calling women "anti-intellectual" just because they believe in or enjoy Astrology is misogynistic, actually.
Women are not one-dimensional.
It is possible to believe in Astrology and Science. It is possible to believe in Astrology and Medicine. It is possible to have a job in STEM and still enjoy Astrology.
These things are not mutually exclusive and insisting they are is often less about critical thinking and more about discomfort with women occupying complex, multifaceted identities.
I think a lot of people complaining about women enjoying Astrology simply can not accept the whole of what women can be.
"It's dangerous." I'm sorry to tell you but no wars have ever been waged in the name of Astrology. No empires have ever been built by using star signs to justify genocide. Astrology has never been a tool of violent conquest.
History shows that people were punished, exiled, or even executed for practicing astrology or other belief systems outside dominant ideologies. So if we're talking about things that are dangerous, maybe look at who’s holding power, not who’s reading birth charts.
