The short nails are definitely going to take some getting used to after keeping them long for such a long time, but they’re great for school, and it’ll be nice to show y’all some designs for shorter nails!

Hi guys! Long time no real post! Now, before I get to my nails, I thought I’d share the inspiration behind the latest design. 

So, I mentioned that the reason it’s been so quiet is that I started my last year of grad school this past week. Oh man was it a week–– lots of new friends, a seemingly impossible amount of work to do, and a few disasters little problems. Needless to say, at the end of the week, my classmates and I were ready to cut loose. And we did. In magnificent fashion. Somewhere around 1:30 AM, when nobody could really stand anymore, we all decided to paint each other’s nails. Let me say, I’m usually great at drunk manicures, I have considered putting that on my resume but there comes a point where, no matter how hard you try, you’re just gonna get nail polish everywhere. That’s what this is. Drunk nails very artistically photographed on my sleeping friend’s butt. 

Here’s the thing though, I thought they were actually pretty cool. Just blobs and swirls of color everywhere including people’s hands and my sweatpants. I wish I had pics of other people’s nails too. They were all super messy, but they were kind of amazing. 

All that said, I think it’s time to debut my very short nails!

I’m so so sorry for the lack of activity, guys! There have been fancy art school orientation activities all week for the new students, then I went camping this weekend, and now school starts tomorrow! (This might be my last year of school ever! AHHH!) I had to cut my nails pretty short and I keep trying to do them but they’re all terrible nail fails. I think it’s the stress. (Camping helped. Mmm, nature.) Maybe I can do something this week before it gets too busy, though. Hope you guys are enjoying the end of summer, and for those of you who are also starting school soon, (or who already have) good luck? enjoy? just try not to stress out as much as me. Love you guys and I promise I’ll be back soon with something awesome for shorter nails!

Hey y’all! Sorry it’s been so quiet. I had family in town and now I’m going out of town for three weeks. So, as far as my nails are concerned, I’m gonna bring a few colors with me and see how many things I can do with them. That’ll be interesting, right? Right? Why can’t I bring all the colors everywhere the world is so unfair waaaahh!

I slammed my pinky in a door and my pinky nail broke like… really far down 😫😫😫 My finger’s pretty messed up right now, but I’m gonna frankenstein myself a nice pinky nail when it heals up a little. Wish me luck!

This, my friends, is Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers Black Magic. It got totally lost in my final design, but I love this polish so much! It might be the first rainbow glitter I ever bought. At the time I just bought it because it was cheap and the bottle was coffin-shaped. Now, though, it’s one of my secret faves. I know some people think it’s a pain, and it kind of is, but I loooove bar glitter! And I super love rainbows!

I promise I’ll have actual nail art up soon, but you guys... I think one of my new Julep polishes is haunted. 

Okay, it’s probably not haunted. But, it is moving around, seemingly on its own. It’s weirding me out. I had these lined up to swatch and I kept looking up and seeing that the navy blue had moved back out of the line. I finally managed to capture it happening a little bit. Can someone please give me a rational explanation for this? My table isn’t wet or slanted, and as far as I can tell there’s nothing unusual about the bottle. Has this happened to anyone else?

Or am I just living in a world where haunted nail polish is actually a thing?

I wanted to show y’all the glitter mix I made to go in my liberty lumps little sparkle bubbles because honestly it looks prettier here than in the design. :P
