; ❁ — Finally realizing that his companion was actually friendly, and didn’t seem to be in any horrible mood, Ezekiel finally allowed himself to relax. A small smile graced his lips as their conversation flowed. “Well, to be honest, you don’t.” He answered, brows furrowed in mock concentration. “But then again, I’ve learned not to underestimate girls. I’ve had enough violent female customers come barge in my stores to learn not to rile them up more.” He admitted, adding in a shudder, for more impact.
Upon Ember’s pause, Ezekiel let out a soft bark of laughter. “Although, it is slightly different when you are faced with an actual fly.” Ezekiel said. “Kind of like, you’d probably panic, and then accidentally kill the poor thing.” And that was from his experience, but she didn’t need to know that. “All in all, though, you don’t look like you could harm an animal.” He assured her, with sincerity. A whine from Mayonnaise alerted Ezekiel that they still had a bakery to go to, and he gently nudged his companion’s shoulder to get them going.

It would be rude for me not to pay.” Ezekiel explained. “Besides, we can both eat a lot!” He cheered, “Don’t be shy, really, I’m kind of a black hole.” He joked, except, well— he wasn’t exactly joking. A familiar quaint rooftop crossed into his line of vision, and Ezekiel beamed. “Ah! We’re near!” He exclaimed, slightly surprised. It didn’t seem like such a long walk— usually, he’d be impatient by the time he got here from the park. “Come on, come on.” He said, excitedly, gesturing the other to catch up with him as he bounded to the store’s entrance. Once they were in, Ezekiel’s senses were clouded with the pleasant smell of freshly baked pastries, and he immediately rushed over to the counter, momentarily forgetting to let his companion catch up. “Aaaaaah— I’ll never lose weight like this.” He complained.
Rather than keeping her gaze concentrated on the ground before the two of them, she moves it so the male beside her comes into focus instead, barely catching him in time for shudder which brings forth a genuine smile to her plush tiers. Strangely, she feels a sense of carefree within herself, some sort of relaxtion and escape from the overbearing thoughts that her mind usually held, something she's not had the delight of feeling for a long time.
"I guess it is different when you have to listen to that annoying buzz in your ear for a long period of time, huh?" Her vocal cords vibrate some in an almost inaudibe hum after she speaks, hands now moving to clasp together behind her back as she began to take bigger steps than needed, a bounce growing in her walk which visually shows the minimal glee she was feeling. "If you say so, then I'll go in without remorse." It's a joke of course, she would feel a sense of guilt if she'd had the male pay so much money for a few treats that would maybe rest in her stomach for a few hours.
Once he'd announced that they were just outside of the shop, she quickened her pace as if getting there sooner meant there might be more cookies or sweet bread left for her to choose from. Then, right upon entering she froze in her place and her eyes immediately closed all whilst she inhaled a breath of air in deeply through her nose, her smile growing softer at the sweet aroma that filled the cafe. It had her stomach grumbling lowly in anticipation for what she was about to have the pleasure of tasting. "How angelic...." She mumbled before she reopened her eyes and made way over to where the male was standing in front of the trays of food, eyes appearing to glow at just the sight of the sugary delicacies. "These all look amazing... how am I to choose just one?

His hand gripped hers a little harder than intended. Bodies overlooked the edge of a bridge not too far from Daegu and his excitement just kept on rising.
”You said you would. Don’t leave me.. hangin’ like this.”
The male shifted in his spot slightly, once of the straps from the bungee cord scathing against sensitive skin through jeans. They were all set, ready to plunge into air and that welcomed any kind of risk they were willing to take.
"Experience this with me, okay? Okay!”
Oh what a foolish mistake it had been to agree to something so dangerous so risky so frightening.
She would admittedly confess to the terror that had begun crawling it's way through her veins and practically started seeping through her pores, making path to the open and succeeding in painting a nervous expression upon her usual calm features.
"W-Wait! Hold on a second!"
Voice was trembling, weak as it was sent off into the day's chilly air. Legs were proving to be unsteady in their place atop the bridge, any moment could mean taking an unwanted tumble forward.
"Can we think about this for a moment? I don't plan on dying just yet."
Even with the quiet pleas of wanting to stop, she knew backing out was cowardly. She could do this and would be certain of that.

conscious, deliberate mistakes;
Admittedly life goes on whether or not you make mistakes in them and whether or not they’re made consciously or unconsciously. Kai was never one to do them deliberately; mistakes, yes, plenty but nothing deliberate. Though lately nothing has been going right and he knows it’s all his fault.
It’s kind of bitter sweet — him talking like this to someone he barely just met and he can tell by the noises she’s making, she wants him to stop but he doesn’t care. “Like.. I don’t mean to — I mean I didn’t mean to do that to people but it’s like being in that space of mind where I know I’m doing something wrong but you go against your instincts for the first time in your life and you just do it..” How foolish, how foolish, indeed he thought to himself her words ricocheting in his mind. Sadness over comes his brown eyes, he stares at her for a few seconds before looking back down to the ground, feeling ashamed.
"I don’t know.. it’s- it’s hard to explain is all." This is when he shuts up giving the other the peace of mind that he will not be talking any more soon, nose scrunching up a bit as he feels a bit weird — for being so honest to begin with which he never is.
"Sorry.. I got carried away there - I’ll go over there." Dismissively he waves his hand around to nowhere in particular starting to walk away, legs dragging against the pavement.
She somewhat knew she should allow the empathetic side of her to come forward and reveal itself, she could connect with what he was saying on an enormous level yet she purposely shoved it aside and denied herself the emotion. Though, doing just that became hard once his eyes went from being filled with calmness to suddenly being washed away by visible sadness at the bluntness her words were laced with-- and oddly, she felt a sense of guilt.
"No, don't leave just yet." It was uncharacteristic of her to even care whether or not the other had gone off on his own but she covered up the feeling with the thought that maybe he was sent to her for a reason, she too had just recently made a mistake that created a large problem for her. If speaking to him was going to cure whatever was tainting her mind, she'd take it. "Let's talk more about... these mistakes?" She continued on, eyes resting on his back seeing that it was turned in her direction rather than his face. "Sit with me."
Maybe she sounded a little too eager to engage in this conversation with him, it was indeed a three-hundred and sixty degree turn to what her reply to his presence previously was but hopefully he'd buy it and stay for just a few moments longer.
