can we take a second to talk abt the compliance of the band?
Frank overall with DRAAG seems mostly unbothered. Gives attitude, dismisses authority like it's a joke, and spit his pills out. He put up a bit more of a fight during the kidnapping's but during Sundays show he didnt fight much when being helped up and walked out.
Mikey Spit his pills out too, but seems to care a bit more than Frank, since he ran away every end of the show last time. But this time, When tucker approaches him he just walks off stage. No resistance.
Ray takes his pills with no second thought, politely would clock in as told during the last leg, even in the pictures of them in the moat on the back screens, Ray does not seem angry. He seems compliant. While the clerk,Mikey,frank and G all look traumatized,angry and scared. Ray kinda...smiles and waves? He's cautious...but seems to just go along with things.
hard to see but compare it to Mikey? He looks rather okay with everything going down....
and ofc G seems very out of it all the time. Barley having moments of recognition. Like he's not fully there. He just primarily follows what his bandmates do (esp Ray...Ray seem's to watch over him a lot...) and it he does protest (like we saw last leg of the tour) he does not seem to understand/care that his actions have consequences (like the slap, or the Gentlemen being taken)
He's not fully there. He stumbles, his words r messed up when speaking. (there was a part in the beginning of the show when reading the postcard he was given where he messed up the greeting...rather that saying "it's so nice to be here this evening!" he hesitates and says " To be here it is nice this to evening" They even have to position him in front of the mic, or on the podium and fix his posture... He seems far off in another world and I'd say prob is too far gone at this point.
It makes him more vulnerable to DRAAG reconditioning. By saying "The Gentlemen wants you to do (insert thing) he believes it. Perhaps stupidly? Or is his mind too far gone, he does not understand, or care. His mind is almost childlike. He does not understand that what he does has such consequences. Like during the last leg, he thought the executions were funny most the time...Not understanding the severity of what was happening. (The kids show, the toy, hop scotch)
I truly do not believe Gerard understands what is fully happening at any given time. He has moments of brief clarity, but overall. He is complicate.
