Hey not to be rude but i think you might have misunderstood tape (2001). Jon DID rape Amy, she was not just kinky or enjoyed it. The moment she sees him her smile drops. She refuses to make eye contact with him until the end of the movie. She is very uncomfortable especially when talking about that night. She denies it happening because she wants to hear jon say it. That’s why she keeps asking. She also realizes they don’t actually care about her pain and this is just about their egos. However it is very clear that he raped her and she’s still fucked up about it. She says he put his hand over her mouth and then laughs it off, but her facial expression is pained. She says she’s been a bad judge of his character in the past. She says she hopes his last sensation is a metal rod shoved up his insides. This is a performance for Vince’s benefit however she specifically said something that is evocative of rape. She tells jon the last word is not his to have. When she pretends to call the police she says he has a “confirmed” rape in his past. She also would not have done to that to them if she wasn’t angry at them, that is not behavior if you had a good night. jon admits he coerced her before it got rough because he thought she was being prudish, Vince says they never had sex and that he’d wanted to be her first, and she says he shouldn’t take it personally. Vince doesn’t need to take it personally because it was not her choice. Jon says he tried to persuade her and then he pinned her arms down. Even without the things she says, her facial expressions the entire movie are painful and show she does not feel safe. Her smiles and laughter is forced, there are tears in her eyes. She also only initially denies the rape, but she stops once he owns up to it. When he says “I think I raped you” she argues with him. But once he starts arguing back that he knows he did, she stops denying it and instead asks him why he’s apologizing now. She responds with sarcasm and disdain to basically everything he says in that conversation. I hope the tone of this doesn’t sound aggressive, I really love this movie and it’s also personal to me because i had a similar experience to Amy and I could genuinely just see it in her face. And in case this isn’t enough proof, the plot synopsis, director, actors, etc. all say that jon did rape Amy.

Okay looking into it from your perspective is actually really good!! I feel like the movie mostly confused me so that's gonna be my biggest issue with it. It was a decent movie, just not my favorite RSL movie. Thanks for the insight, anon! <3
