The Golden Goddesses (The Legend of Zelda shots)

Ingredients: Naru’s Love- 1 part UV Blue 1 part Di Amore Quattro 1 part Sprite

Din’s Fire- 1 part Yukon Jack 1 part Fireball Cinnamon Whisky 1 part UV Cherry

Farore’s Wind- 1 part Pineapple Rum 1 part Creme de banana 1 part UV Blue 1 part of Rose’s Lime juice

Directions: For each drink, pour all ingredients into a double shot glass and mix gently. Best when served chilled. 

A note from the drink’s creator:

The Golden Goddesses. The most powerful creatures in the myths and folklore, they created the world and everything it holds. They bestowed three gifts upon Link to aid on his quest against Ganandorf. We created a series of shots to honor these deities that bound and built the land of Hyrule. you can either do them one after another or just pick your favorite and do it solo. Either way, we are sure you will enjoy these very well crafted shots.

Naru, who poured her wisdom onto the earth and gave the spirit of law to the world. This shoot is smooth, sweet, and gives you a nice arm feeling all throughout.

Din, who with her strong flaming arms, cultivated the land and created the red earth. To encapsulated this shot as best as possible, we gave it a smooth start, a little kick in the middle, and a strong fiery after punch.

Farore, whose rich soul produced all life forms, who would uphold the law. With a calming neutral citrus burst to balance out the tastes and bring them all together.

Chateau Romani

1 oz Ammaretto

1 oz Frangelico

1 oz Wild Turkey American Honey

Milk

Pour alcohol in a shaker with ice

shake vigorously with ice

strain into a small glass

fill with milk

Enjoy the unlimited magic

This is a good sweet yet strong cocktail. It has a full robust taste and a well rounded flavor. Great for any occasion.

We first set out to create a Lon Lon Milk cocktail but quickly realized it had been done plenty before where as Chateau Romani didn't have one. So we started working on that. in game the milk restores all magic and grants you unlimited magic for the 3 day period. While this milk isn't made from specially bred cows we promise after a few of these you'll feel like you have plenty of magic.

Blue Sky

1 oz cotton candy Vodka

1 oz UV blue

4-6 oz Sprite

Pour alcohol over ice in a tall glass

Add sprite

Slowly stir

Breaking Bad is back on Sunday so why not enjoy it with Walt's 99.1% pure crystal. No one cooks like Walt and Jessie makin the blue on the streets of ABQ. But we made a killer cocktail to enjoy while watching the drama unfold.

In The show the prop they use for meth is blue raspberry and cotton candy flavored rock candy. So we decided to implement that in the cocktail to keep it true to the show. Personally I think this is a great sipping cocktail. It's smooth and sweet but not overly sweet.

What time is it?

Jake:

1 oz bubble gum vodka

1 oz Peach schnapps

Orange juice

Shake all alcohol with ice

strain into any size glass of your choice

fill with Orange juice

Finn:

1 oz UV cake

.5 oz Cherry Vodka

Splash blue Curacao (to color)

Milk

In a small glass pour cake vodka and cherry vodka

fill glass with milk

splash in a little blue curacao

stir gently 

The Princess Bubble-tini:

1 oz bubble gum vodka

.5 oz ammaretto

splash grenadine (to color)

Sprite

In a cocktail shaker add all alcohol and a splash of grenadine

Shake vigorously with ice

strain into a martini glass

fill with sprite

Garnish with a gumbal

Marceline's Bite:

1 oz Strawberry rum

.5 oz  whipped cream vodka

.5 oz UV cake vodka

Grenadine

Sprite

Add all alcohol to a cocktail shaker

shake vigorously with ice

strain into a old fashion glass

fill with sprite

slowly sink grenadine to the bottom

Garnish with a strawberry

The Ice King

2/3rds cup of sugar

1.5 cups UV Blue

1.5 cups Water

1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice

4 cups Ice

blend on high till properly mixed

pour into tall glasses

ADVENTURE TIME!!!! So we have been lax of updates lately and we do apologize. It wasn't for lack of drinks it was a lack of photos. But to make up for it we have not one or two but FIVE cocktails for you. One more Adventure time cocktail is coming in the future as well. So without further ado....

Jake the dog - So the idea behind this cocktail is since he can stretch to any size he can be in any size glass and still taste great. I think we did it pretty well. even tastes great as a shot.

Finn - So i wanted this cocktail to be something a kid would like and not be soda based because he is a kid. i think cherry topped cake covers that

Princess bubble-tini - sweet, tasty, smooth, and just a touch of class.This drink embodies PB.

The Ice King - Sweet yet a bit tart. a frozen blue raspberry lemonade sends chills down your spine and is delicious.

Marceline's bite - Marceline eats shades of red, who's to say she doesn't also drink them? this cocktail is a twist on her favorite source of red strawberries. Its a sweet strawberry shortcake tasting cocktail. The grenadine sinks and starts to merge looking like she has already started draining the red from the drink.

Due to a lack of time on all of our parts lately we haven't been able to get any photos done. However we do have several awesome drinks lined up for the future. We just need to shoot them. With any luck we will have a new cocktail or shot up next Friday. On behalf of all of us here at EXP Bar I extend my apologies for the lack of update.

For all cocktails layer the ingredients in the order given.

They should be really easy to layer if chilled.

Except Thor, that one you stir.

Happy Avengers Day one and all!! So the trick here is they get stronger the further you go down the list. We have the order very carefully placed and drinks carefully crafted to embody the heroes. We are using the movie universe avengers even though we are aware they were not the first avengers.

Captain America:

Doctor erskine was going to share blueberry schnapps with him, but he couldn't have it. also due to his advanced tissues on his organs can't get drunk. hence this shot is the weakest.

Iron man:

Tony stark has battled on and off with alcoholism so his tolerance for alcohol is high hence the high proof rum, yet he tries to not drink hence the grenadine to dilute the alcohol.

Thor:

He is a god. he drinks after battle and can handle his alcohol, yet human alcohol seems to affect him more hence he is the middle.

Hawkeye:

Jjust a normal human with unbelievable accuracy with all fire arms, bow being his weapon of choice. (p.s. Unlike the trailers we here at EXP bar on line do support Hawkeye and think he is bad ass)

Hulk:

He's the hulk, as he so eloquently has stated in the past. "HULK AM THE STRONGEST THERE IS!!!!!" hence he is last.

Make sure ingredients are well chilled before.

Either layer all ingredients in a shot glass.

Mix all well before pouring into a shot glass.

Okay so Four horseman, there are literally thousands of recipes for this. This is just the recipe we use. If you layer it the flavors hit your pallet separately before blending and tastes amazing. However if you premix it and serve it after its been freezing it tastes almost like brown sugar. This is a recipe we love to premix in a large bottle for parties, and it is always a hit.

As for the nerd aspect, well everyone loves the story of the four horseman. Not to mention the four horseman from X-men, or the Darksider series. but plain and simple four horseman shot is delicious.

Kratos:

1oz - Vanilla rum

3/4th oz - strawberry rum

1/2 oz - amaretto

Everclear

Strawberry syrup

Milk

In a shaker mix the rums, amaretto and a splash of everclear

Add in approximately 4-5 ounces of milk

Stir gently

Take a martini glass and slowly dribble strawberry syrup down the inside

About half way before it hits the bottom rotate the glass sharply

The syrup should now make a lightning bolt pattern down the glass

Slowly pour the milk mix in

Enjoy!!

This weeks drink comes from the QTE Laden trilogy. What game has Blood, gore, crazy weapons, sex, revenge and redemption. God of War which, combined all of these attributes across three games. We here at the Exp Bar decided to pay tribute the only way we know how, A delicious cocktail. This drink embodies Kratos quite perfectly: it's pale, kicks ass from start to finish and will leave you satisfied. So drink, kick an ass or twelve hundred. Not even the gods will be able to stop you.

Blood Slide:

1/3 - Peach schnapps

1/3 - Cranberry juice

1/3 - Vodka

Who doesn't love Dexter? He is Americas favorite serial killer/father. He is the dark defender that everyone can't help but love. With every kill he takes a small sample of blood, places it in a slide, and treasures it for ever. the blood slide is his trophy, he remembers each and every kill with just a glance at the slides.

Now i know this drink is a day late. Yesterday was hectic, First Red had his first baby, so every one send him some twitter love. Then... well i won't lie... Mass Effect. Any way it won't happen again followers.

The black widow, Natasha Romanof, Russian born agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. What better way to encapsulate this Russian femme fetale than a sweet smooth variant on the Black Russian. This drink is smooth, sweet, and has just the hint of coffee flavour you'd want from a Kahlua drink.

This week's drink pays homage to Diddy Kong. Donkey Kong's stalwart companion with no discernible relation to him. From the Super Nintendo to the Wii, the Kongs have been with us for a long time; Bringing us Fun and frustration. So make this shot, throw it back, and enjoy the sweet sweet taste of the fruit from the Kong's private stash.

This week's drink comes from a game close to the hearts of many Final Fantasy fans. Blood of the Ancients was made in memory of the death of Aeris of Final Fantasy VII; Arguably one of the saddest scenes in game history. Okay so this drink was originally featured here on the Drunken Moogle. It was created back before we had our own web site and wanted to share the story. The story in Below average Joe's words goes like this:

I was at E3 2011 and a friend of mine Dave told me about a Gears Of War 3 party. so we go in and wait for it to start and Carlos Ferro is there answering questions, doing a meet and greet and all that jazz. I walk up get my photo and ask if he wants to have a Gears of War drink with me called the crimson omen. He said hell yeah, we go to the bar and they don't have anything but the captain morgan, and grenadine. So carlos said lets just throw in lots of rum and we did. then we couldn't decide between lemonade and sprite and we just decided to use both. The bartender makes the first one and then the whole night the bar is drinking them. Carlos asks if we can name it after his character because we changed it. So the Domfather was born. I give equal parts credit to Carlos, The Drunken Moogle, and myself.

And that's how it was made.

Okay Doctor Who drink number two! The DALEK shot. Every one knows the Daleks, they are what made doctor who so popular in the beginning and the are undeniably one of his best villains.

So this shot to me is JUST like a Dalek. Its the perfect goldish, Strong, and even if you survive one you don't wanna face them in a large group.

Okay So i have a love of flaming shots. I don't quite know why, I imagine it's my lust for fire. Now this drink was made because I simply wanted to make a new flaming shot. So we started working on one and this is what came from it.

The Hadouken is a CLASSIC fighting game move if there ever was one. This and Shoryuken are the two moves that basically defined the fighting game genre. Every one who grew up on the 8-16 bit genre KNOWS this move. and knows the motion you need to do to make it. We hope you all enjoy this drink.
