                                The Year That Changed My Life A year ago today I was fired from my job. With a pink slip in hand, I packed up my things, walked home and turned my bedroom into an office. With nothing but $40K+ in student debt I was determined to make something.  "It's called Jackpine," I said.  Later that day, the company of one had its first client. This would set in motion the wildest year of my life.  Since January 21st 2013, we've gone from an office in a bedroom to a studio in Chinatown. We've gone from one person to a dynamic, talented team of 16.  We've worked with more than 70+ companies, organizations and individuals.  We've worked with the most talented individuals, collaborators, makers, thinkers, do-ers and organizers.  We're designing space and image - most recently a complete branch redesign for Alterna Savings. If you'd told me on January 21st 2013 that Jackpine would re-design a bank in its first year I'd call you crazy.  We've become an employer of choice - creating cool jobs that didn't exist before and are trying to make the place we live a little bit better each and every day.
