I'm almost sure it has been mentioned somewhere else before, but the average experience of reading Homestuck, being a chronic Deltarune fan for so many years, is taking note of how many concepts Tricky Tony has shamelessly borrowed and reinterpreted from that webcomic. Like, you can't deny there wasn't at least a great amount of inspiration when you come across lines like this:

In fact, I'm sure that the mere concept of kernelsprites in Toby's mind eventually morphed into the concept of darkners as well: objects acquiring sapience and a humanoid shape after the aperture to another place, another reality, functioning as guides and companions inside a hostile world which pushes you into a voyage to save the world. I mean, yeah, ofc SBURB isn't equivalent to Dark Worlds in the slightest, but the similarities are still there, and it's easy to find the mental process that led to Deltarune's main ideas and whatnot.

giving a look to the things I used to write during the pre-chapter 3 era, I've noticed that I tended to predict little plot points from Deltarune sometimes. for instance: my first one-shot on this site consisted of a supposed letter which Kris had sent to Noelle post-Snowgrave, and one of the paragraphs basically stated what pretty much ended up being the things Kris told her: "Do not trust me. Do not listen to me: nothing I say, and of course, don’t give any words to me. Every single attempt at doing either of these things will end up in vain, with broken dreams as a result. You cannot dialogue with whatever they are, you cannot pretend to win playing their game; I can tell. I have tried myself and failed, to all of you. And I’m still trying to solve and figure out how not to lose. It doesn’t matter how hard I try. It’s more difficult after each battle, when the Sun sets and darkness accompany me once more, but with no warmth, only a resolved coldness." I also predicted out of pure luck that Susie would open a dark fountain at the church. sadly, I don't have the screenshot of that tweet anymore, but it was funny.

obsessed with kris using things the player can't see to communicate with other characters. drawing on the window in the diner. 80% as much honey on toast as usual. silly faces and nodding/shaking their head. changing the tone of what we make them say to make it clear that they mean it differently. i love that it's shown time and time again that kris ISN'T apathetic about anything. kris wants friends. kris has boundaries and wants mom to know that what she did made them feel bad. kris wants the people in their life to be happy and kris wants affection. i love kris deltarune
