If I posted my Vnmo or made a GFM or whatever, is that something people would help share around? I hate to be blunt but I was diagnosed with grade 3 invasive ductal carcinoma (likely early stage 1 but the biopsy results weren't 100% ready yesterday, I'll find out more today at my appointment with the oncologist) on Wednesday, aka breast cancer that's highly aggressive.
I've already paid over $2,200 out of pocket because I didn't want to wait to deal with insurance that I have through my employer and wanted to get shit figured out as fast as possible, which my friends and family have graciously helped out with most of that cost, but unfortunately since it was all out of network, none of that is going to go towards my $2,500 in network deductible, so I'm transferring care to an in network hospital (which sucks because I was very satisfied with the care I was receiving at the place I went originally, but I've heard nothing but great things at the in network place so whatever) but I'm still gonna have to pay that additional $2,500 out of pocket. Not to mention the copays or whatever, which prolly won't be terrible but my max out of pocket for in network is $4,500. So essentially, at minimum I'm gonna have to spend another $2,500, and potentially up to $4,500 for whatever treatment I need. Which is for sure gonna be surgery, and likely chemo (which again, I'll be finding out later today).
So I'm in a spot where I really, really don't like asking for money, but this has sorta flipped everything in my life upside down. Especially because I have zero family history of breast cancer (I'm also getting genetic testing today, which is covered by a grant luckily, to see if maybe that's why I got it). Not to mention my age, every doctor so far has been like stunned and shocked that it was cancer after all (not that anyone pushed back against it, in fact every doctor I've seen so far was adamant on getting the ball rolling on testing, which is why I said fuck it and just paid the $2,200 so far out of pocket). So it's all very unexpected.
So I guess what I'm trying to get at here, is should I make a Vnmo post or a GFM or anything else like that? I really don't know but I feel like I need to throw something out there.
Also if anyone has like any advice or personal experience I would love to hear it.
Okay fuck it here's at least my Vnmo if anyone wants to help me pay for treatment for the grade 3 invasive ductal carcinoma (aka breast cancer that's really aggressive) that I was diagnosed with a couple of days ago ❤️
(early stage 1, they think, I'm on my way to find out more from the oncologist)
