“AAHAAA”, Aiko leaps in the air, her tail grabbing the next swing and latching her hands to Gazelle's. Gazelle swings her back to the ladder and jumps off, landing wrong on the trampoline meanwhile Aiko backflips.
“What an insane fur ball, how is it that you paired me with her for the act, Xara”? Gazelle complains to me.
“Cmon, you'll be a fine pair, all you have to do is try and land your acts and you'll be fine, I'm positive you can do it! You're as flexible as a ballerina”! I try to cheer up.
“For dancing, not for trying out something new an acrobat can only do”, she rebuttles, coming towards me, grabbing her water bottle from beside me.
“Well, we need some grand new act soon, I think a change of acts can help us”, I conclude. The furry feline continues to swing and bounce off the trampoline, not knowing whether she's practicing or just being a wild animal, as always. Her smiles and movement without a care, or rather, a single thought in her head at all.
“How can she even be energized all the time, it's like she doesn't think about anything other than swinging like a monkey”, Gazelle remarks.
“Hold off with your insults. She's been this way for so long now, I can hardly remember anything from before how she is now”, I informed.
“What makes you think that was an insult… anyways, what do you mean by that”?
“Well, when she arrived at the circus, it was just me and Carolin on the main cast. Her hair was medium length, She was more… conscious? Hmm, smart, funny, she was close to us at that point… eventually she lost her mind to this point”, I sulked.
“We have one picture of us all together, we talked and had fun, but since she got this way, the distance grew between her and me and Carolin”, I continued.
“You're one of the oldest here, I know that. I can't imagine that crazy feline being some kind of rational thinker before”, she comments.
“I wonder what happened, all I know is it took a lot for her to get herself here. Maybe this place was a last bit of sanity, but something made it all leave her head. She doesn't remember anything though”, I finish.
Whatever happened, the Aiko I knew vanished a long time ago… we can only forget and try our best for who she is now, I am truly sorry for what could've happened to you… it must be easier to forget, whatever led to this.
Gazelle walked off, bored from the silence I put on. The topic of Aiko felt a bit emotional for me, as I care for my friends.Aiko finally lay flat on the floor to catch a breath, as I watched in my grief. I got up to walk to her. I smiled and handed her a water, but she stared at me incredibly oblivious, not saying a word. The slightest spark in her eye went off, so innocent. She scrambled back up and took the water, going back to the ladder to jump off after a sip.
