If you're are actually being deadass about being against AI especially ChatAI or is a recover of someone who has dropped chat AI you need to do these following things
Let people RP there ocs (most people who RP is 9/10 likely to own an OC that they would love to RP, sure most people can be annoying with it but in this day n age that's just an excuse to let people use AI more I can promise you not everyone is going to be this annoying there are people out there who are bareable)
Understanding people's disabilities for example dyslexia, depression, burnout, etc
People having lives outside of RP (as a veteran there is people who are a bit too hardcore when it comes to role-playing so because of that it's a immediate shut off for people to role play with real people because of it)
Don't correct people's spelling or grammar enless they ask you to (do not embarrass/publicly embarrass these people because how the spell/do Grammer "annoys you" you do not know if English is even there first language or have a disability that causes them to have these issues, for example dyslexia or other types of disabilities that makes it more difficult, hell they may not even been fortunate enough to get proper education)
In rp DO NOT NPC PEOPLE'S CHARACTERS this had caused alot of trauma in people who used to RP and lose interest in rping with real people FAST I've gotten my own characters being treated as NPCS back then even though it was in a group RP! Now what that means is basically that, treating people's ocs or cannon characters they play as background characters more then actually a character in the main cast or story, so do please remember, if you're rping with other people get them involved in the story too.
DO NOT CONTROL OTHER PEOPLE'S CHARACTERS for example rping there ocs/cannon characters without there permission or adding/taking parts of a story that the person had already installed in this character without permission, remember another reason why people use character AI is not out of loneliness but a sense of control especially with how characters do or act, this can deeply effected real RPs or group RPs negatively or how people could use it because of how there fed up with other people rewriting there ocs or how they play there idea of the cannon characters.
Don't jump the gun when making RP group chats especially if this is your first time, only make rp group chats if you KNOW you can handle it, I had an ex friend who thought who could handle it but they couldn't and caused a whole bunch of problems! When making RP group chats please keep in mind on the age demographic that the rp chat is catering to, without it can lead to chaos or alot more serious problems, with these problems can lead to trauma and can drive real people away from rp.
IF YOU ARE A LEADER TO A GROUP RP LISTEN TO WHAT THE PEOPLE ARE TELLING YOU ESPECIALLY IF IT'S SOMETHING SERIOUS this same ex friend had completely neglected are concerns with a whole bunch of things for example pedos, and alot of arguments that brakes into the middle of RPing because of heavy ignorance and neglect, it caused me horrible burnout back then, I didn't have chat AI back then but RP leaders ignoring serious issues can make people back down from rping with real people and to migrate to chat AI today.
PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR OWN BEHAVIORS for example have you been intentionally or unintentionally a control freak? For example NPCing people's ocs or have been expecting them to do certain things (most of the time NSFW) based on a Canon character they play? Have there been other traits you caught yourself doing for example ignoring people's complaints? Or brushing over triggers? Have this behavior been before or after chat AI? There is actually a big difference with it for example if you always had these tendencies before chat AI your most likely using chat AI for toxic control or if it's after AI you may had forgotten there is people behind a screen and may had developed a sense of toxic control.
PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR RP TRAUMAS AND PET-PEVES what that means is what were your biggest traumas that were caused by RP? what had driven you away from RP to begin with OR had bothered you still but roleplay anyways? I believe if we list down the things that happened in the past when it comes to role-playing it will give us a better understanding especially a better understanding on why people were driven away to interact with real people to roleplay to begin with because what didn't seem to bother you may had bothered someone else gravely however if there was a deep trauma in role-playing and you finally gotten back into it what motivated you to get back into role playing? Understanding these things also could help improve more interactive RPS!
I think these are some things I personally believe however if there's anyone who has there own to add in type it down in the comments or reblog it with your own add ins! honestly I highly recommend writing down your own experiences and what YOU personally believe could improve more in the Rping community! Or if you're comfortable of course! Type down what had drove you away from rping so we can better areselves when it comes to rping with other people! (Also I hope all of this makes sense- most of the things was out of wedlock because I'm getting lokey tired of people not actually seeing the bigger picture with the real problem at hand))
