This past Saturday, EgyptAir inaugurated service to Los Angeles for the first time in over 25 years with their new flagship A350. While weather was dismal on Saturday, the Departure on Monday was in rather clear skies. Here is EgyptAir's MS984 to Cairo (CAI) Getting Underway. Good to see EgyptAir back at LAX (May 25, 2026).

ARG01 Departing back to Argentina via Lima (LIM) with President Millei on-board. I was totally not expecting the sudden bank to the left after takeoff, hence why it turned out this way. Either way, it is always fun when the Argentine 757 comes to LA (May 6, 2026).

After two weeks on display at USC, the National Archives exhibits departed on the Freedom Plane from Van Nuys today. The Freedom Plane is a Boeing 737-700BBJ operated by The Boeing Company's Executive Flights division. Originally supposed to depart before 8am, the approximately 90 minute delay helped as the weather and skies were surprisingly clear and sunny at the time of departure. RKIVE1 was operating to Houston-Hobby (HOU), its next stop on the US tour commemorating "America's 250th." (May 4, 2026)

A rather rare surprise at Burbank. Yucaipa's 757-200 Departing on a surprisingly short flight to only Palm Springs (PSP). Most likely, CEO Ron Burkle was heading out for Coachella weekend. This 1991 airframe once flew for Sterling Airways. (April 17, 2026)
