Delta's "LA28 Olympics" Livery A350 Departing to Paris (CDG) on DL290. The city to last host the Olympics until LA hosts them in 2028. (June 28, 2026)
Emirates' recently debuted "Skywards 25th Anniversary" Livery Departing back to Dubai (DXB) on EK216. (June 28, 2026)
Double Lufthansa 100! A rather spectacular sight at LAX. Not one, but two "Lufthansa 100 Years" Livery aircraft taking off back to back in just a few minutes. The A380 bound for Munich (MUC) and the 787 to Frankfurt (FRA). (July 5, 2026)
After spending one week at Van Nuys, the Aegle Aviation 737-700BBJ Departed to Tokyo-Narita (NRT) via Anchorage (ANC). This 2006 built 737-700BBJ has flown for a number of operators including Samsung at one point. (July 5, 2026)
The other major highlight from this day. After a few months, I finally was able to capture the "Lufthansa 100 Years" Livery Departing on LH453 to Munich (MUC). (June 22, 2026)
The highlight of this visit, after being in Los Angeles for World Cup related events. Qatar Amiri's "Gold Ring" Livery A330-200 Departed to Geneva (GVA) as QAF4 shortly after 6pm Pacific Time in rather stellar conditions. (June 22, 2026)
Southwest's beautiful "Desert Gold Retro" Livery Departing to Honolulu (HNL) on WN2197. (June 20, 2026)
Once again, American Airlines' new "Flagship Retro" 777 commemorating their centennial Departing on AA136 to London-Heathrow (LHR). (June 20, 2026)
One of Awesome Cargo's A330-200P2F (Ex Alitalia) Departing to Asia via Anchorage (ANC) as A7930. (June 20, 2026)
A sight only possible in the summer at LAX, "SWISS 41" (LX41) Departing in dusk lighting back to Zurich (ZRH). (June 6, 2026)
A classic Lufthansa 747-400 Departing as LH455 to Frankfurt (FRA). Two weeks after this photo, the flight returned to being operated with the -8, hence why these sightings at San Francisco may be the last 747-400 scheduled pax flights to pass through. (May 17, 2026)
After a few failed attempts, American's awesome "Flagship Retro" Livery 777 Departed on AA136 to London-Heathrow (LHR) in excellent weather conditions. Kind of strange and unique to see a livery used on classic propliners on a 777. (June 15, 2026)
Once again, the “Legend” BBJ made a short appearance. Air X Charter’s 737-700BBJ 9H-ELF made a two hour stopover from San Jose, before Taking off to Avignon, France. Of all the 737BBJs to takeoff from Van Nuys. “Legend 170 Golf” was probably the heaviest and latest rotation of a 737 I’ve ever seen. Considering it was a 10 Hour flight, it is not surprising. (June 14, 2026).
Scandinavian Airlines A330-300 Departing to Copenhagen (CPH) in golden hour lighting. (June 9, 2026)
