Trolls

So every year around pride we see those who want a straight pride and straight pride month. I know it's really easy to attack back but honestly the best way to deal with these trolls is to let them have their parade. You don't have to attend it, you don't have to support it, just let them have their moment to get it out of their system. If you choose to go have signs supporting their straightness as people support our love and identity.

If we stop being so quick to yell back and get enraged trolls will be less inclined to target us. Don't play into it and meet their yelling with love. Kill them with kindness.

Quick Binding Tip

So I've heard of people saying that their binder doesn't make them flat enough. I feel that sometimes too.

If you're a B cup a binder can flatten you out but if you happen to be more gifted in the chest department, I have Ds, binders can only do so much depending on the construction. I've seen people ask, "should I wear two binders?" DO NOT DO THAT! That can be very dangerous.

Binders just squish what you've got but there is still tissue in that area that can only flatten so far.

Let's talk clothes

So for those of you who are born female you can understand the struggle and freedom of "mens" clothing. For those who don't, pull up a chair and listen.

So mens clothes are great. They're warm, funky and have pockets. But it's hard finding clothes to fit if you have more defined hips and chest (even with a binder). So it comes down to do I buy the size that fits or hides my hips, or do I go with the size that fits my chest and wear it unbuttoned with a tshirt underneath? So I've found that I'll either look preppy or skaterboyish which is fine but I'm 5'5", 24, with a baby face. If I dress wrong I got from adult to high schooler real easily and I've noticed that happening to others as well.

Trying to find clothes is a nightmare but necessary when trying to express your gender identity. As I may have ranted at one point, you can't expect people to guess your preferred pronouns if you're expressing the opposite gender in the way you dress. People see a low cut top and boobs, they'll think she/her. People see a more masculine clothing style, they may not be sure but they'd be more inclined to think he/him.

We need to figure out how we need to make the clothes do our bidding and not the other way around.

Dysphoria

Disclaimer: I'm not a medical professional nor have I consulted one. This is my opinion.

So now that that is out of the way. Dysphoria is a one of the worst feelings next to depression and can be a part of depression. I've been hearing that some people feel that you have to have dysphoria to be trans or nonbinary.

On the other side are people that feel that you don't need dysphoria to be considered nonbinary or trans.

I can completely understand both sides of this argument I've had moments where I still carry those feelings even when I present male. For me, it's a really shitty feeling and extremely negative. There have also had days when I don't experience the negativity and shameful feeling I get. When I present male without dysphoria I feel more secure in my masculinity, I feel happy and energetic.

This feeling also effects my interactions with my partner. We have more fun when going out, I'm more open to them and I can better express my feelings and thoughts.

There are ways to combat the negitive feelings that come with dysphoria. I've found that positive self talk and surrounding yourself with people who care about you.

Hey everyone I know I haven't been posting much. Reason 1 is that I've been really busy, and reason 2 is that I don't really know what to post about. I've been having a hard time coming up with things to talk about and I'd like to know what you want to see.

I want this to be a place where people can feel comfortable asking questions and won't be met with negativity or friction, even people who think the gender is only a binary thing.

I'm here to learn from people and through that brings growth and togetherness. My ask box is always open and I hope the hear from some of you.

HAPPY PRIDE

My mother has a phrase she uses "live their truth". She uses it when she talks about trans, gays or anyone who realizes something about themselves that is outside of the norm and they have accepted, beautiful right? But then why doesn't she use it with me?

I know it's different when it's your kid but support them anyway. My mom feels that she knows every aspect of my life. That's bullshit, no one 100% knows you. People can understand you or know certain behaviors but that's not the same. I spent four and a half years living on a college campus outside of her plans, I'm different than I was when I started.

Parents, if your kid ever comes out to you about anything: gender identity, having sex, anything. Don't try to equate it to when you where a kid. Sit down and talk about, keep your head. If you want a wall between you and your kid tell them they need to see a therapist, argue that they're wrong and don't try to understand why they did it or feel a specific way.

It's 2018, gender norms aren't norms anymore. Some experiences you had a few years ago aren't the same now. Things are changing and we need to change with them or else we'll get left behind and left out.

Everyone should be free to live their truth.

Why is it that people fully support transgender but then don't believe genderfluid is a thing? We are just as valid and very similar.

My thoughts on binding

My bio females listen up. Binding is a topic that you can usually find a lot of information about within the trans and cosplay communities. I started binding because of cosplay then continued outside of it for obvious reasons.

There are many different types and brands of binders, from half shirts to full shirts. There are some made with stretchy fabric and some that work with the natural squish of your boobs. I've found the big name binders to be really expensive, especially with the college students budget I had at the time, so I went to Amazon, found one for cheap and I've had it ever since.

Now binders are great for giving you the closest to a flat chest one can get with boobs. But there are some dangers. When buying a binder be honest with the size chart and read the reviews. Don't get a size smaller than what you need cause you can hurt yourself. As a cosplayer, I usually wear mine for an entire con day which can be over 8 hours. Don't do that unless you're as comfortable in your binder as I am in mine.

DON'T WEAR IT IF IT HURTS! Binders are not supposed to hurt. They're supposed to be as comfortable if not more comfortable than a bra. If you're wearing a binder and it starts hurting TAKE IT OFF. Pain does not mean it's doing it's job.

Ps: don't use an ace bandage you can break or crack ribs. I've used an ace bandage and I've gotten close to cracking ribs. GET A BINDER! You're boobs and ribs will thank you.

A Pro and Con of being genderfluid

I make people question their sexuality when they see me as a guy.

Z can't be a big spoon

So as I'm 5'6" which is about average for a woman but seen as short for guys. I like tall guys and you can't be a big spoon if you're smaller than your little spoon. I also get cold very easily so cuddling helps to keep me from freezing in my sleep. I also like being the little spoon, the cute boyfriend and all that jazz.

It also doesn't help when you're horny and your partner is little spooning. The urge is so tempting then they start teasing you...and you're no longer cuddling...😶

I like being a little spoon.

10 things I wish someone told me about genderfluidity part 2

1. If you are biologically female you may develop a male sex drive while keeping you're female stamina.

2. You may experience the type of orgasm that corresponds to whichever gender you identify as at that time. (It's happened a few times to me and it's weird)

3. There will be times where you may switch genders at random throughout the day.

4. Your views on things will change.

5. Surround yourself with people who care about you and will except you for you. (Life is to short to spend it with people who put you down)

6. You will find that both sides will develop their own personalities and preferences. (That's normal)

7. Shopping becomes more interesting (especially when you are feeling male but your mom makes you go dress shopping. Thanks mom 😧)

8. You'll notice your body language change depending on your gender identity.

9. It might be harder finding a significant other

10. Some people might think your genderfluidity is the first step to becoming trans. (This isn't true for everyone)
