i think what's so interesting about the robby/dennis dynamic this season is actually (and i say this as a hucklerobby enthusiast) that they AREN'T dating. that dennis isn't someone robby can dump. because robby's instinct after he's been intimate and vulnerable with someone is to draw away, to leave. they're too good for him, they know too much, it's safer to retreat. but he can't do that with dennis. he can't stop returning dennis's calls. he can't stop seeing dennis. he can't break up with dennis. he has to live with the knowledge that there is someone out there who has seen him at his WORST who he can't ever extricate from his life.

dennis pops up in the hospital on his day off (because robby forgot his keys) and suddenly robby (whos been bitching the whole day) smilies brightlly, greeting him with a "hey baby" and a peck on his lips

dennis murmurs "hi, here's your keys and I need you to fix your attitude a little cz I've been getting complains"

robby snaps a look at trinity who just shrugs her shoulders like yeah I told on you, what you're gonna do about it

trinity santos is def roman catholic. before she became an angry woman, she was first an obedient daughter who goes to church every sunday, representative for the bible quiz bee and saint related school events in her private catholic high school, learned and leads the rosary for her family and commentates on her school's rosary rally. her gay ass was homophobic for a while. she grew out of it and has long since denounced her religion BUT still subconciously accepts her place in hell.

langdon being jealous of whitaker cause he's robby's new favorite is well and good. but langdon being jealous of santos? like, he sees robby asking if she met with a counselor this week, talking to her when she seemed distressed, obviously trying to get a sense of her well being even after everything that went down 10 months ago? why couldnt robby have cared about him like that? why couldnt he see him when he spiraled? if he had checked up on him, and really looked at him through the eyes of a friend, not as his boss, he would have seen something was wrong. maybe it wouldn't have gone to the point of addiction. and it really hits him how much santos and him are alike-- same confident stride, same cocky grin, quick witted and sharp. except she's seen as trinity. and he's just dr. langdon.
