Hello welcome to fucking uh our account. We don't actually use the term "factkin" (or "kintype", " kin", "kinnie" whatever) but that's the most well-known term, we use the term "factfolk". I'm William/Wilbur (Mod Gold), he/they, my boyfriend and the co-owner of this account is Alexis/Quackity (Mod Q), it/he. I don't give a shit if you claim that's "identity fraud" (that's not what that word means mate) or "impersonation" (can't impersonate ourselves). And, of course, fuck the other William Gold, he's an abusive piece of shit (no, I didn't do any of that shit).

Anyways, obviously this is a safe space for factfolk as well as problematic factfolk. Do whatever you want forever, involuntary or not. As long as you aren't harassing anyone or anything, go wild.

Anyone can interact, but just know we're both 18+ and hate pro-cs, anti-paras, and anti-endos with a burning passion (I do, at least, lmao).

Every argument against factkin is just normal anti otherkin rhetoric repackaged btw. Its based on the discourse ideas started by KFF that kintype is always something chosen and just for fun. The people who are okay with factives but not factkin show this especially well when those things can absolutely operate on the exact same mechanisms. Just saw a post where it told factkin 'youre delusional, go to therapy' as if that kind of thing hasnt been leveled against all otherkin and therians. The hypocrisy is off the charts and I am disappointed in my community for not welcoming people with this experience that is, in at least many cases, non voluntary. Of course factkin should make it clear they are not bodily that person, and recognize they dont know everything about their source person and are probably more kin of their persona or image, and it is bad to take someones images and pretend to be them (as in, pretending to be the origional source person), but that is not because they are factkin that that is bad. That behaviour is catfishing and separate from being factkin. Every factkin i have actually seen brave enough to speak up in our community has been very respectful and cognizant of the fact that their source is a real person and make it very clear they are kin. And even if someone doesnt, someone misbehaving and having poor boundaries doesnt mean the entire factkin community is like that, and it doesnt magically make someone unable to imprint on a persons persona the same way they can on a character and become kin in that way. Maybe this anti factkin rhetoric comes from spiritual folk who think 'well they cant be reincarnated as they arent dead' and I ask you to please remember many otherkin have other origins including psychological ones, and psychological origins can be just as intense and involuntary as spiritual ones.

I am not factkin nor am I close with one but I have seen some in our community and seen the way they as ostracized. I have seen anti factkin posts and seen literally all their 'reasons for someone cant be factkin' are the exact same arguments used to say any therian or kin cant identity as their source. I am close with factives and they feel unsafe in any space not also welcoming to factkin since their experiences are not that different, even if someone says factives are fine. There is no reson you should be okay with factives and not factkin, it makes it seem like you think being otherkin is somehow lesser or more voluntary than being a fictive, and its not.

Please, we need to do better as a community. Its fine if someones identity makes you uncomfortable, but you need to recognize your discomfort does not mean their identity is not valid. Your feelings are not facts, and you need to be able to learn to be welcoming to people even if their identites are strange to you, especially if you want wider society to do that for otherkin as a whole. All of us look to them like factkin do to you.
