I find it very interesting to note the times in which this post has a sudden resurgence. It often follows very stressful, upsetting events, where a lot of “REBLOG THIS OR YOU SUCK” posts start appearing on this site. 

So I’ll say it again: it is okay if you come to tumblr to escape upsetting news. It is okay if you’re just here for fun and fandom. It is okay if you do not want to use your tumblr as a place to read about or spread the current events that are circulating. It is okay if you need a place to decompress and just relax. There are other ways to be involved in/support causes and you are allowed to set boundaries on social media platforms without it being indicative of your belief systems. 

Your beliefs, values, ethics, and moral stances are not determined by whether or not you reblog something.

unironically I will block you for saying “my Shayla” about your blorbo. The meme came from people mocking a Black man for crying for his daughter. When you say that about a sketch of Skinny White Dude #27 you are treating Black pain as a joke. I want to assume most people don’t know the context and wouldn’t use it if they did but too many of yall straight up do not care and would keep using it anyways

This is literally the worst example you could’ve chosen to highlight how black pain is treated as something to joke about considering the fact that it was black people who originally saw the video and made fun of it and starting referencing it on twitter when it was first posted.

For those who don’t know since op left out a huge amount of context, the man crying in the video is a famous actor and singer, best known for his role in the Fast and Furious franchise. You may also recognize him as the guy Beyonce poisoned in the Telephone music video.

He posted that 20 minute (YES TWO ZERO) video of himself crying about the fact that he was going through a custody battle for his daughter.

The reason why people made fun of him is because they immediately clocked how ridiculous he was being especially after they learned what provoked this entire “breakdown” he was having.

The man wanted custody over his daughter who was 13 at the time because a judge decided to raise the amount of child support that he owed to her each month. I believe the amount was 1300 which is chump change for a celebrity who’d just made bank off of a new movie from a marginally successful franchise that had just lost one of its actors in a horrible accident and had a hit song made because of that.

Tyrese of course did not want to pay that much money a month and decided to instead fight for custody over his daughter who again was THIRTEEN so in all 13 years of her life he had no interest in having custody over her. This combined with the fact that her mother claimed that he was abusive towards her left the trial not in his favor. So what does he do?

He goes on live and cries fake tears THAT EVEN HE HIMSELF AND HIS DAUGHTER LAUGH AT NOW with a shirt that has her name on it in order to gain sympathy…

I’m providing context not to dismiss op’s original message but I’ve seen so many people use that meme as an example of black pain when it’s the furthest from being so. It’s a black man being a deadbeat cheapskate and not caring about the black women in his life who’s name is now forever cemented in everyone’s minds as a reminder of the joke her dad has turned her into for his own selfish gain.

If there’s anyone you should think of before you reference that meme, it’s Shayla.

As of TODAY Twitch has quietly added the Generative Ai Training model into your account without your permission.

For the time being it is TOGGLEABLE and you can TURN IT OFF!

However, we do not know if Twitch will force this to be on at all times like some other platforms, like X/Twitter, have previously done.

Regardless of IF YOU STREAM OR NOT you should TURN THIS "TRAINING FOR GENERATIVE AI" SETTING OFF IMMEDIATELY!

To do so you must go to: https://www.twitch.tv/settings/security

And then scroll all the way down near the bottom.

There you'll find the "Training for Generative Ai" setting, toggle it to OFF!

Be sure to keep sending messages to Twitch that you do NOT want this to exist.

And another reminder that if you do stream on Twitch, like I do, you should start preparing you and your audiences to migrate elsewhere ASAP.

POKEMON BANK IS SHUTTING DOWN ON FEBRUARY 25TH 2027 AT 10PM EST

If you still have it (or were planning on downloading it through other means) make sure you get everything you were planning to transfer moved before then, and move any pokemon out of bank you don't wish to transfer.

If you have any Ribbon Masters that you need to transfer to newer games, now is the time to do that.

If you need an alternative to Pokemon Bank and your 3Ds/2Ds is hacked, you can install PKSM (a pokemon save editor for the 3Ds/2Ds) to use as pokemon storage. You can also back up your saves through Checkpoint and use PKHex to create files for individual pokemon to keep on your computer.

Every once in a while I'll get engaged where a piece of media where one character has a highly specific and non-obvious speaking quirk, which I myself don't notice but another fan or friend far more unwell than me will catch onto and inform me of.
