I know that the clones speaking mando'a is fanon, although widely accepted, but does anyone else get a little emotional seeing the distinction that Sister's squad made to call her that intentionally instead of just recognizing her as another Vode?

Because Mando'a is almost entirely a gender neutral language (save for some choice insults), and Vod is a broadly used and gender ambiguous term that Sister definitely fit in to, but her squad named her and called her Sister anyways to recognize and cement her identity and that she belonged with them.
