In a show full of egregious character deaths, that one is the one I remain the most pissed off about (for, like, no REAL reason, other than IT WAS VERY VERY BAD).

like! It’s bad enough that Ford and Elizabeth got Disney Deaths that mostly ignored their character arcs! (And god, they did Ford so, so dirty!) And Beckett’s happened for a stupid, stupid reason but at least he went out trying to save lives!

But that was. that was just.

It was so bad.

Not to pile on but Beckett’s death is even worse when you realize the exact same plot (about exploding tumors near the Stargate) was done in early SG-1 with Cassandra in “Singularity” in S1.

Oh, I definitely made note of that because really, guys? Really?

But just. I’m pretty sure they made that handoff right at a door and there was NO REASON to not have the door close IMMEDIATELY after the handoff was made and those doors are there to help close off parts of the city if it starts flooding! They are sturdy! It was so stupid!

really, my favorite part about watching this for the first time is getting all the salty reactions from all y’all that have been lurking, waiting to re-emerge and make you furious all over again.

Stargate command is fake!

A fake community of all things stargate -- there’s simply no better way to describe that place. A bubble of all-access members who are surprised to learn that all-access is restricted and then complain when you point it out that their little hub of all things stargate isn’t fully accessible for all stargate fans. The community is divided even more than when it was when Stargate Universe aired, and they certainly don’t appreciate being pointed out that there are people who are locked out. In fact “why haven’t you used VPN yet” or “plenty of ways to circumvent the system” -- oh now you’re okay with piracy? You really want this place to succeed. Sorry peeps, I’m not going to support something so that there’s a chance for you to get more Stargate. Not how it works. You don’t want to stand up for your fellow fans, than your fellow fans are not going to do your ‘dirty work’ for you either. Quid pro quo!
